On our first day, we noticed some minor issues at the apartment (the shower bar was faulty, the dishwasher wouldn't start); we only had to send a text message and it was all sorted out before we were back for dinner. Excellent response!

I was a little nervous about going on holiday to a place where I did not speak the language. However all your agents spoke English and sorted out details like the transfer from airport to apartment which helped a lot. On arrival Rachele ensured that we knew how to work all the electricals in tha apartment and where to find local facilities like the supermarket and nearby vaporetto stop. All this assistance helped me feel a lot more confident that my lack of Italian would not be a problem and I relaxed.
Our week's holiday passed very quickly. We visited all the usual places in Venice and returned to our apartment Ca'Dello Squero 2 to relax, The air conditioning was a real bonus and we took to having our lunch there and a siesta every day. Having the supermarket so close by was a real bonus and we enjoyed watching the comings and goings at the gondola repair yard next door.
The apartment itself felt like a home from home and I feel we had the best apartment in Venice

For my mother's 90th birthday she wanted to return to Venice and ride in an evening serenade gondola. We stayed at Ca'Gondola for 11 nights in June 2010 and the apt was perfect for our needs-a ground floor apt with a view of the Grand Canal, easy walk to the vaporotti, the Frari Church, opera house, and Scula Grande San Rocco. We probably did and enjoyed more of Venice because of this fabulous location! Oh yes, mom was in the evening serenade gondola four times, the opera twice, and just about every evening in St. Mark's Square eating gelato and waiting for all the lights in the square to turn on at 9PM. Her birhtday trip was enhanced by some great home cooking and the chance to eat and sip wine in front of one of those magnificant windows where the San Toma gondolas are shuttling back and forth, and all the activity of the Grand Canal was before us including some passing singing gondolas. All in all a perfect trip with an apt that made us feel we were at home in Venice!

The apartment Ca'Dello Squero 2 was exactly as described but also had such a nice atmosphere. Everything was very clean and bright and it has such a lovely view over the gondola repair yard. The apartment had everything we could have wanted and was a joy to be in. The location was excellent with the Billa supermarket close by, the Zattere vaporetto stop just two minutes walk and several good restaurants very near by. We were very sad to leave.

All your team were very helpful both for the booking and for making sure that we arrived and settled well into the apartment. Congratulations - you have the best bookings agency I have ever used. Thank you very much for a super holiday.

Ca' Meraviglia was just right for me - it had everything I could possibly have wanted and was just so comfortable and convenient. I love that Dorsoduro/San Polo area and the apartment was a perfect location for me. All I can do now is start saving again so I can return to Venice as soon as possible. I will certainly book through Views On Venice - would not consider any other company.

It was an absolutley stunning apartment. We loved the canal right beside the dinind room, the interior decorating was very tasteful, all the amenities were up to date and in perfect running order, the locatiion was superb; in short it couldn't have been improved upon.

My mother and I both loved Ca' Vivaldi. It was so nice to live in an actual neighborhood and to feel like a local. The neighborhood felt very safe and secure, and just far enough from the bustle of the commercial street and the Riva del Vin to be peaceful. The apartment was as beautiful as advertised. Rachel, the agent who met us upon arrival, stayed to answer all questions and kindly even made sure my computer was connecting to the WiFi and working before she left. Inside the apartment, there was plenty of space, and many windows facing a quiet little alley and overlooking an enclosed garden. It was nice to see the neighbors' dogs frolic in the garden from our kitchen window. The kitchen was well stocked, and the vegetable & fish markets were conveniently close. It was quiet at night, and though the smaller bedroom window did open to the echoey inner stairwell, only a few neighbors occasionally came and went, and all were thoughtful in keeping noises to a minimum. I'd like to thank Views on Venice for making such a lovely apartment available. If I have the pleasure of returning to Venice, I would certainly love to stay at Ca' Vivaldi or one of your other properties.

The apartment was clean, well furnished, comfortable and convenient.  While the wifi did not work, the ethernet cable worked well in its place.  The only thing we could not find in the kitchen was a measuring cup.  The beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well.
The staff was friendly and helpful.  We would come back to Ca' San Sebastiano in a heartbeat!

We had brought only one electrical wall plug and could have used 2 at least for phones, computer and camera batteries. It would have been helpful to have had one or two in the apartment. Other than that we were very happy and very settled for our 9 days.
The apartment was in an excellent location. It was quiet, away from the tourist noise but within very easy access of San Marco on the traghetti and L'Accademia bridge and vaporetto. We enjoy walking and the Zattere was a lovely spot at the end of the day to enjoy a spritz and the view.
Thank you for all your help. We will certainly recommend you to others and contact you again should we be lucky enough to return to Venice.

We loved our time in Venice at the apartment.  The only reason I have not checked excellent for everything is that the Internet was not connected which was important for my husband's work nor was the television which we did not care about but someone might have.  We did leave a list of problems but that would not stop us from booking the same apartment on our next trip to Venice.  Thank you so much for the terrific experience.  In our wildest fantasies we did not dream of such a lovely experience--including the view of a monastical garden from all the windows.  The restaurant that was recommended in the information left by the owner was not just great, it was perhaps the best meal we have ever had and as traveling foodies that says a lot.  They even made a dish not on the menu for my husband.  Well off the tourist route and moderately priced.  I could do the whole thing over again today.

This was the second time that we stayed at Ca'Cerchieri, in a different - smaller - flat (quite large enough for us). We would always try to come back to this address (Ca' Loredan) which has for us (Austrian citizens) a great emotional value - home of the Hapsburg ambassadors in the 18th century, palace where the young Mozart gave a concert, place where the famous albertina collection in Vienna had its origin (Duke albert of Saxony,son-in-law of Maria Theresia, negotiated there the purchase of the great collection of designs and engravings of ambassador Durazzo). All,long ago but still an enchanting house with a view across the Canal Grande at the church where young Casanova tried to become a priest but failed.
Only one minor mishap occured - urgent repair of a waterpipe in the kitchen.
(p.s. we are pleased to advise that the water pipe in the kitchen has now been mended and is functioning well.)

Ca'Grassi - whilst the furnishings are fairly basic and the ground floor entrance rather uninviting the apartment is very spacious and grew on us the longer we were there. The location is superb being on a fairly quiet route yet close to the lovely Santa Stefana square and the Accademia bridge. It was very easy to walk to all places once we got our bearings and a decent map (most important). Whilst we had to cancel our original booking a month earlier due to illness we feel we probably came off better the second time round particularly with the location.  The opening full-height windows in dining/sitting area to the (narrow) balcony was a bonus although too small to use other than to just sit on.
We really had a good time.  Thankyou.

From booking to departure an excellent service. Emails were responded to quickly and personal requirements attended to.
Ca'San Vio was in an excellent location for us. We appreciated its proximity to the Zatteri  and other points of interest were within easy walking distance. The apartment itself is delightful. Comfortable beds, well equipped and a quiet location, nice cafes and restaurants in the area. We would definitely stay there again. One word of caution, lots of stairs so not the place for anyone with mobility issues.

I think that staying in an apartment is the best way to see Venice: getting up early in the morning and being a part of the city before the tourist crowds pour in; wandering around St Mark's Square when it was almost empty;sitting at the corner cafe with my cappuchino and brioche and shopping at the Rialto Mercato; these were among my greatest pleasures. 
During the day we explored, maybe a slice of pizza round the back of the Frari, or a cake from Tonolo's and then home when we were tired to sit on the balcony and read.  In the evening a Prosecco and crisps at the corner cafe then a delicious home cooked meal of sarde or calamares with spinach or tomatoes with some inexpensive wine from Billa.  Off again on the Vaporetto to say good night to the Grand Canal, ice cream at Grom and then home.  What bliss! 
When the volcano went up we were stuck - with the generous help of the Views on Venice team we were able to make our way back to Scotland, but it was still too soon!

We just wanted to let you know that we are finally safely home in Scotland, and to thank you for all the kind help you gave us.

We had a lovely holiday for the first week and enjoyed your beautiful city.  Without your kindness in enabling us to stay in the apartment the next week would have been a nightmare, and instead we enjoyed our extra few days.  We have had a long, expensive and very stressful journey back but still have many happy memories of Venice.

We still have a telephone charger belonging to one of you which we will post back, and I am afraid I left some (very delicious) gorgonzola in the fridge which we had planned to take with us for lunch on the train.

We are looking forward to a time when we can come back to Venice and will definitely recommend your agency to all of our friends and family.

This is the third group I have rented a Venetian apratment through and by far the best and most professional.  Especially appreciated was the person already at the vaporetto stop when we arrived (at other times I have waited over and hour) and the fact that we could check in and leave our bags when we arrive at 12 rather than having to wait until 2 or 3pm.

Having emergency contact telephone number (even though we didn't need them was good). 

Apartment was beautiful, spacious and clean.

Ciao Daniela,

Just a note to let you know how much we enjoyed the Ca Delle Rose.  It worked out perfectly for us.  We were thankful for the ensuite bathrooms and the fact that it is ground floor unit.  The location is perfect.  The only negatives are that the stove/oven are small and that the TV only received the BBC channel, all the other channels were in the Italian language.  My husband is a golfer and was disappointed that he couldn't watch the Masters Golf Tournament.  Oh well, we walked around beautiful Venice instead.

The whole family loved Ca' Canal Terrace (and Venice as a whole, the centre of which is literally on the doorstep!); it was like living in a palace. The Terrace got full sun in the late afternoon and evening when we there in April and was a great place to relax with a glass of Prosecco watching the gondolas glide past after a day's exploration.

When the oven didn't work and there was no tablecloth VOV organised immediate replacements. The apartment was excellent in a fantastic location and I cannot recommend Ca dei Botteri or VOV jighly enough. The TV was the only thing that was a disappointment: there should be cable for tourists.

May I say that without exception the service from the Views on Venice staff was excellent. I cannot speak highly enough of the courteous, polite treatment I encountered from the moment I booked my holiday to the last reluctant 'Goodbye'.
I took Ca' Magnolia for a week in Autumn '09 to entertain friends visiting from Belgium, Scotland and Austria. Ca' Magnolia went down a 'bomb' with them all - the house was friendly, very comfortable and amusing in its tastefully wacky decor. It was very well equipped with everything one could possibly need - nothing was wanting. It was an absolute delight to have the private leafy garden and quiet canal running the length of the property. Even local friends from Venice came at night to join us and enjoyed the illuminated garden, sipping wine into the early hours - the most perfect of memories! The location of the house was a delight in itself - quiet and hidden away from any bustle yet only steps away from the Zattere and the beautiful water of the Giudecca Canal. The supermarket 'Billa' was within easy walking distance and there was no difficulty at all in obtaining all our everyday necessities. Plenty of good places at hand to eat out, even down to the odd slice of delicious pizza takeaway! Access to San Marco was easy in Ca' Magnolia being near the Salute vaporetto stop and also within easy reach of a traghetto. Views on Venice staff were excellent in arranging private motoscafi to and from Marco Polo Airport for us - their guidance and punctuality were faultless. I am quite at a loss to find any negative criticism of our sojourn at Ca'Magnolia. My daughter and I would very, very happily stay there again. Our thanks and compliments to all those who made our holiday so special.

The week we spent in Ca' Del Gabbiano was a highlight of our trip. It is a fantastic apartment, spacious, comfortable and relaxing. Everything promised on the web site was there and everything worked. There were many bonuses and no disappointments.

Despite the chill of autumn the rooftop altana gave us many wonderful memories such as the site of the Dolomites, the massive cruise ships arriving and departing, the church bells ringing out in the early evening and of course Venice on all sides.

Our only sadness is that we may not be back for a couple of years. But we will have no hesitation recommending your service to anyone visiting Venice.

All was very well organized, the meeting at the boat stop worked quite well and Irene showed us all we needed for a pleasant stay. Everything in the apartment was well functioning, we didn't miss anything and it was good to have a heating in the cold evenings. We really enjoyed our
stay in Venice and had such good luck with the weather that we were able to have our breakfast on the altana roof on 3 mornings!

I would just like to say how much I and my guests enjoyed Ca' Magnolia! It was a wonderfully comfortable, friendly apartment and I would happily take it again if having several friends to stay - so nice to have the garden and the canal so nearby. The 'Views on Venice' staff have been most , courteous and obliging from beginning to end - please thank them all. The taxi service to and from the airport was excellent - perfectly to time.
 
I may come again in March or April 2010 on my own so would in that case take a smaller apartment; however I shall certainly use your company again if so - it has been first class.

We absolutely adored our Ca'Canalleto apartment. I had seen the pictures on the website but everything was so much more impressive and beautiful in person. The apartment was spacious, elegant, sunny, and just plain comfortable. The location was also phenomenal -- on a lovely, charming small canal where all we could hear at night were the creakings of the boats and the lapping of water. We really loved Dorsoduro in general, and found it our favorite part of all Venice. We particularly loved that the apartment was only a few minutes walk from Grom and Gelateria Squero, the Billa supermarket, Campo Santa Margherita (with all its pizza places, etc), my favorite Ca'Macana mask shop, Grom gelateria and Gelateria Squero, our favorite Pane Vino e San Daniele restaurant, and several internet points. Not to mention the Campo San Barnaba that is the site where the Indiana Jones movie was filmed!

We had a fantastic time in this beautiful apartment. It was in the perfect location in Dorsoduro, next to affordable restaurants and cafes and also very close to a convenient supermarket. The vaporetto stop is close by but walking to St Mark's square is absolutely no problem.

From the moment that we made our reservation, the service that we received from Views on Venice was top class. All the people that we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. The only little hitch was that we had arranged to meet the representative at Rialto and waited just over half an hour for her to arrive. There were many apologies and she was most friendly. The apartment was exactly as the photographs show, but somehow even better (photos don't always do justice to a place). The apartment was spotless and everything was really new (some of the utensils still had their wrappings). It was well equiped, it lacked nothing, all the mod cons were there. It is a really comfortable apartment and fantastically situated, close to St Marks, The Rialto bridge and the Rialto market (which we frequented most days)!! We would open the windows and listen to all the church bells ringing in the evenings, beautiful!!!!!! Lying in bed at night all we could hear was silence!! No noise at all!! We counted 68 steps to get to the apratment, we weren't convinced that the apartment is on the 3rd floor (it seemed like the 5th to us)?? Other than that we had the most enjoyable week and would love to return to Venice again one day to stay at Ca St Luca. Do you have apartments in other cities. because we'd very much like to Views on Venice on our next Italian holiday!

We especially liked the apartment's location; it was a joy to stay in such an elegant palazzo that offered easy access to Campo Santa Margherita and the Zattere. We could quickly reach the waterbus and the train station, plus magnificent art collections and many great places to eat and shop.

Ca' Dello Squero looked exactly like the photos and was not a disappointment.  The location was fabulous...very close to the  Zattare vaporetto, Accademia bridge, and a nice 15 minute walk to San Marco.  The apartment was well maintained, very clean and exceeded our expectaions.  Your company does an excellent job and I highly recommend Views on Venice.

Ca' San Sebastiano was just wonderful. Convenient, comfortable, and well-equipped. The neighborhood is great -- quiet streets to wander and our favorite restaurants were right up Calle Delle 'Avogaria just up across from San Sebastiano. Having such a lovely "home" in Venice really contributed to making our vacation great!

We spent four days in Ca' delle Mende in September 2009.

The apartment was ideal for us (two adults and two teenagers), with its two bedrooms, a full bathroom and a WC, and a well-equipped kitchen.
The apartment is very well-located. You have two boat-stops just a few minutes away (Accademia and Le zattere), and you can reach in a few minutes walk several interesting places, such as the Accademia Art Gallery and the Basilica of La Salute. In about 20 minutes walking you reach Piazza San Marco.

Though the apartment is located in the city center, the street (Ca' delle
Mende) is a narrow and quite street, somehow away from the flow of tourists.

Annalisa kindly met us at Academia at 11:30pm, as agreed. We were allowed to keep the apartment until 3pm the day of our departure.

All in all, the choice of renting Ca delle Mende through Views on Venice, proved to be a very good choice that we would like to recommend to other people who are planning to visit Venice.

Ca' Della Frescada was our favorite part of our visit to Venice.  We loved the space - loved having gondolas passing under our own little bridge!  It was our sanctuary from all the tourists (yes, I know, we were tourists, too!). Such a great location.  Easy walking to everything we were told we must see and even closer to things we weren't told about but enjoyed more than the must sees!  Marvelous to have a washing machine after two and a half weeks touring Italy. 

Only consternation came at our arrival.  Two things caused a little anxiety.  We were not in phone contact before arriving in Venice (we did not have cells that worked in Italy) and the Views on Venice office had not switched the phones from the overnight machine to receiving calls.  Luckily an emergency number was given on the night time recording so we were able to get in touch with our agent.  When we met Irene, she was friendly, efficient, and had us settled in in no time with good information about the house, a map with notations as to where we were located and how to negotiate the streets and lanes to get to places we had asked about. 

We loved the house!  Internet service was being established when we visited, but was not yet up and running.  Having that would have been great, but it was also pretty tremendous having a vacation where we truly were away from it all - we would be home soon enough to deal with all the emails!!!

One small point - little more information in the apartment as to "what to visit" "local restaurants" "supermarkets" etc.

I travelled with my 4 grown up children and we had a ball, from the wonderful trip by water taxi from the airport~we felt like we were on a movie set, to our late arrival(and Daniella still waiting patiently for us!) The apartment exceeded our expectations; the air conditioning was a great boon, as the weather was bakingly hot.  The terrace was the real highlight as we all loved to sit out and watch the world go by, and often preferred to linger rather than face the hurly-burly of San Marco.  The area has a lovely sense of community; it felt safe at all times of the day and night, and is within minutes of the Accademia area. The whole experience was enhanced by the support of your company; from arranging our water taxis to and from the airport, to meeting us and showing us all aspects of our apartment and letting us know about the locality.  You made it all an absolutely unforgettable experience.  I will definitely return, and will definitely use your company, and yes I would definit ely recommend anyone to book through your company!

We stayed in Ca'Canaletto. It is a beautiful apartment in a very central location. Very close to all the attractions of Venice and has a huge selection of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. If you wish to self-cater there are two very good supermarkets nearby also.

I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for arranging a fantastic week for us at your new apartment, Ca’ Dell’Artista.

I must confess now to having been just a teeny bit nervous booking it before there were any internal photos available but we’d discovered the Rio De La Romite on a previous visit and had always said that someday we’d love to stay in that area and, in particular, on that canal. Anyway, we really needn’t have been concerned as the apartment was an absolute delight and we thought so stylish inside that it wouldn’t have been out of place in an ‘Interior Design’ magazine.

The space was substantial and throwing open the shutters of the 5 large windows in the living room every morning to a blaze of sunshine - well, we’d have been very hard pressed to find a more picture-perfect canal view. It was sublime.

Special mention to you Irene, for patiently waiting in the heat for us to arrive in the water taxi. It was very reassuring having you meet us to answer all our questions and show us the ropes, so to speak.

You may recall those few days of high temperatures when we were there, so we appreciated the A/C and made full use of the terraces, in particular the small one at the front where we spent many an hour. To be acknowledged by a local gondolier with a smile and a ‘Buona Sera’ as he rowed by made us feel very welcome! It soon became ‘our canal’ and ‘our home’.

So once again, thank you for organising our stay so meticulously. We had a very happy experience and look forward to seeing you again in Venice in the not too distant future.
