Cool, sleek and quite simply first-rate - a trendy designer loft on the top floor of a spectacular 17th Century Gothic palace in Campo Sant’ Angelo in the district of San Marco, with contemporary styling and phenomenal views.
Proof in this case that 'less' is 'much more', Ca' Del Gabbiano 2 (or ‘House of the Seagull 2’ - a very apt name for this wonderful ‘crow’s nest’ of a property!) has recently been restored using the latest in modern design as a counterpoint to its fabulously traditional structure.
Sleeping 2 and merely moments on foot to some of Venice's finest attractions including the Palazzo Fortuny, Scala Contarini del Bovolo (currently under restoration) and the Teatro La Fenice, the apartment comprises an impressively spacious open-plan main room incorporating sitting, dining and kitchen zones, with pale wooden flooring in shades of bleached oak and a fresh whitewashed colour scheme providing a chic and understated backdrop to the magnificent weathered timbers dominating the ceiling space.

A top-notch conversion in antique surroundings - centrally placed with a magical outlook.
A terrific place to stay but please be aware that there are a number of long staircases to climb (the apartment is on the 5th floor) and no lift. (An additional note to our taller guests regarding the sloping ceilings present in the bedroom, entrance/'snug' and bathrooms.)
Within minutes of the Sant' Angelo vaporetto stop for travel around the city and the 'Traghetto' at Garzoni, which during operating times, ferries passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal to the district of San Polo.
