Peacefully sitting beside the Angelo Raffaele area (beloved 'home' of Julia Garnet, heroine of the gentle and enchanting best-selling novel 'Miss Garnet's Angel' by Salley Vickers), Ca' Del Glicine or 'House of Wisteria' is on the second floor overlooking tranquil and private neighbouring gardens and has air-conditioning for optimum comfort during warmer weather.
 
It has a roomy and attractive main living/dining area with beamed ceiling, pristine marble flooring, a large and comfortable sofa, dining table and an ample mirrored wardrobe which cleverly serves to both maximise the light and heighten the sense of space within the already well-proportioned room. A short walk to the San Basilio vaporetto stop for easy sightseeing trips around the city and to the Billa supermarket on the Zattere (with no bridges to cross to either in between!), Ca' Del Glicine's proximity to the Stazione Marittima also means that it's a super choice for a relaxing break in Venice if arriving or departing this port by cruise ship.
 
Take a leisurely amble along the nearby calles and fondamente heading eastwards - gateways to the glory of the Grand Canal at Ca' Rezzonico and Accademia and the magnet that is Campo Santa Margherita - a tree-filled square alive with Venetian activity and chatter, shops, students, gelati and spritz! Or head a few minutes west to visit the hushed and extremely beautiful golden interior of San Nicolò Dei Mendicoli - one of the oldest and most atmospheric buildings in Venice, restored between 1972-80 by the 'Venice in Peril' Fund and the church being renovated by Donald Sutherland's character in the classic Nicolas Roeg film 'Don't Look Now'.
