A spacious and charming one bedroom apartment overlooking the ancient ‘Calle dei Botteri’ (‘Street of Barrel Makers’) and very close to the famous Rialto Bridge and Rialto fruit, vegetable and fish markets.

Decorated in traditional "Venetian" style, the apartment has a comfortable living room with a fully fitted kitchen/dining area, a large bedroom with tall windows, a double bed and chaise and a bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. Air-conditioning is by way of a portable air-conditioning unit.

Perfect for exploring the maze of Calli filled with traditional Venetian bacari (including the well-known Cantina Do Mori – founded as far back as 1462) and for sampling the typical Venetian ‘cicheti’ (similar to tapas – delicious!) and for food and cookery lovers wishing to make the most of all the amazingly fresh produce available at the Rialto food markets (open Tuesday-Saturday mornings). Convenient too for the vaporetto at Rialto Mercato and the Santa Sofia ‘Traghetto’ which, during operating times, ferries passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal to the Cannaregio district.

OUR COMMENT

A very nice property in an area steeped in history and atmosphere - take a few steps just to the end of Calle dei Botteri for direct views across the Grand Canal to the ‘Ca’ d’Oro’, widely considered one of the most beautiful gothic palaces on the Grand Canal.
