Near the Frari Church and Scuola Grande di San Rocco (2 minutes walk), Campo Santa Margherita (4 minutes walk), and San Tomà with its vaporetto and traghetto gondola ferry on the Grand Canal (6 minutes walk). Excellent food and wine shopping and a very ‘local’ ambience is to be found in Campo Santa Margherita and, when it comes to relaxing and eating out, you’re spoilt for choice with many recommended osterie, trattorie, cafés and wine bars within 5 minutes.

Ca’ Meraviglia itself features high ceilings and is tastefully decorated throughout in contemporary fashion. It has a large living and dining area with sofa (folding out to become a double bed – on request only, please ask when booking), a fully fitted kitchen, a double bedroom with three built-in wardrobes, a spacious bathroom with bathtub, shower and double sink and a small second living room/’snug’. Wireless broadband internet connection, air conditioning and washing machine all add to its comfort and convenience.

OUR COMMENT

A small but popular apartment in a great spot with lovely canal views. Quick and easy access to Piazzale Roma on foot if travelling light. And for film buffs, very near to where the carnival scene was filmed in the recent re-making of ‘Brideshead Revisited’ (2008).
