In a pivotal spot for exploring not one but FOUR of the six 'sestieri' of the city (San Marco, Castello, Cannaregio and San Polo), Ca' Della Corte is spacious for three and on the first floor overlooking the small Campiello Riccardo Selvatico (near Campiello Corner), a pleasantly buzzing thoroughfare of boutiques, bank and 'Frulala' juice bar nestling between the Rio Di San Giovanni Grisostomo canal and the gondolas of Sottoportego Falier and the Rio Dei Santi Apostoli a small alley away.
 
Well looked after and furnished with pride, the apartment comprises an elegantly decorated main living room with a spacious bedroom on each side - a romantic Venetian-style master bedroom with comfortable double bed, large wardrobe and nicely matched soft furnishings and a good-sized single with Sleigh-style sofa bed, some fine period furniture, a TV and DVD player and which can also double up as a second living / TV room when not being used for sleeping. All three rooms overlook the campiello (a super vantage point for people watching!) and have beautiful polished wooden flooring lending an air of richness and opulence to the classy and air-conditioned interior.
 
At the centre of the apartment and accessed via the main living room and hallway is a bathroom with shower which overlooks the canal to the rear and features an expanse of modern glass brick walling which further infuses the area with light, while the well-equipped kitchen / dining room has a dishwasher, plenty of storage and is ready for action!
 

OUR COMMENT

Handsome yet homely and highly convenient - a solid choice, particularly ideal for couples, friends and small families keen on sightseeing, shopping and being close to the action.
 
Steps away from a plethora of shops, restaurants, bars and two supermarkets and moments from some of Venice's most treasured landmarks. Visit the nearby Church of Santa Maria Dei Miracoli, the alleged birthplace of legendary Venetian explorer Marco Polo (1254-1324), or take the Santa Sofia 'Traghetto' gondola ferry crossing the Grand Canal to the Rialto fish, fruit and vegetable markets (Tues-Sat a.m. only) - a tonic for the taste buds!
 
Moments from the bridge ever-remembered by Venetians as 'Ponte Dei Giocattoli' (Bridge of Toys) after the toyshop once found there.
