A cosy, comfortable and very user-friendly apartment on the first floor of a pretty house just off the Campo Sant’ Agnese. Seconds away from the Zattere waterfront (via a short 'sottoportego') for wonderful walks and open canal views across to the island of Giudecca and minutes to the Accademia Bridge/the world-renowned Academy of Fine Arts and the 20th Century art of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection on the Grand Canal.

Ca’ Belle Arti has its own private front door leading into a hallway, off which is a handy laundry room with washing machine. A short staircase leads directly into an attractive main living area which is full of light from its two large windows and which incorporates a sitting area with a sofa and double sofa bed, a kitchen with all the necessary appliances for easy self-catering and a dining area (as part of the kitchen) with seating and rustic-style table.

The master bedroom, just off the living area, is bright (also with two large windows) and very well proportioned with lots of wardrobe and storage space, high ceilings, terrazzo flooring plus a very comfortable double bed which can be made into two singles – please ask when booking. The second bedroom with double bed is smaller, though still very comfortable, and the bathroom (midway between this second bedroom and the main room) has a bathtub. The apartment offers newly installed air-conditioning and broadband internet connection allowing guests to access information for planning holiday activities or for making sightseeing or dining arrangements. A great all-rounder of an apartment, peacefully placed in one of Venice’s nicest locations.

OUR COMMENT

Close to the Church of the Gesuati (Santa Maria del Rosario) and a great choice of eating places along the Zattere, including the well-known gelataria ‘Da Nico’, the accomplished cooking of ‘Lineadombra’ and, for something simpler, ‘Ae Oche’ with its mind-boggling variety of eat-in or takeaway pizza.

Ca’ Belle Arti also lies within sound of some of the most beautiful (and non-intrusive) ‘musical box’ church bells in the whole of Venice – an enchantingly tuneful background to a holiday in this great location.

Minutes to two vaporetto stops – ‘Zattere’ to the south and ‘Accademia’ to the north and only one minute to the Alilaguna boat stop connecting the Zattere to Venice's Marco Polo Airport.
