An utterly breathtaking top floor apartment in a spectacular 17th Century Gothic palace in Campo Sant’ Angelo in the San Marco sestiere. The view from the 25 sqm traditional ‘altana’ roof terrace is simply amazing and offers a superb vantage point from which guests can admire the entire city in all its splendour.

The very recent restoration of Ca’ Del Gabbiano or ‘House of the Seagull’ (a very apt name for this wonderful ‘crow’s nest’ of a property!) has resulted in an effortlessly chic and contemporary loft-style apartment offering plenty of space, light and personality to discerning guests whether they be on a first visit to Venice or the latest of many.

With impressive wooden beams throughout and warm wooden flooring in all its main rooms, the apartment is composed of a very comfortable and well-designed open plan living room with views over to the Church of Santa Maria Della Salute, the famous Fenice Theatre (and more besides), a dining area and a fully fitted kitchen.

There are two elegant double bedrooms, again with great views – one with a double bed (which can be split into two singles – simply ask when booking) and an en-suite bathroom with bathtub and the other with a double bed and en-suite bathroom with shower.

A privileged position in a great central location and perfect for capturing the true essence of Venice in all its glory. Suffice to say that on first viewing the apartment (and we’ve seen many over the years!), we were rendered practically speechless by its mesmerising views and we’re confident that even the most seasoned Venice visitor will feel the same way – a really magical place to stay but please be aware that there are a number of long staircases to climb (the apartment is on the 5th floor) and no lift.
