A private little sanctuary of peace, calm, greenery and lushness, delightfully situated on the laid-back island of Giudecca (where Sir Elton John also has a home!) Near to the ‘Palanca’ vaporetto stop for easy sightseeing and a short boat ride across the Giudecca Canal to the Zattere promenade in the popular Venetian district of Dorsoduro.

Ca’ dell’ Uva, charming and recently renovated, has been decorated and furnished with style and in great taste throughout. Its airy and open-plan main living room incorporates a sitting area, dining area and a fully fitted kitchen all in one and has three French windows opening onto the wide furnished veranda and private garden - an enchanting and restful haven of mature shrubs and climbing foliage, perfect for breakfasting ‘al fresco’ in mild weather and for setting a gentle pace and tone for the remainder of each day.

In terms of sleeping accommodation, it has a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with bathtub, a second bedroom with two single beds and a second bathroom with shower. 

Once well-known for its palazzi with gardens and now for its authentic and true ‘Venetian’ feel, Giudecca boasts a number of restaurants ranging from the beautiful canopied terrace of ‘Harry’s Dolci’ and the sophisticated restaurants of the Hotel Cipriani, to those offering simpler and more modest dining and prices to match. Or if you’d prefer to opt for lunch or romantic dinners at home, then it’s easy to stock up on groceries at one of Giudecca’s small stores or the local COOP supermarket, a mere stone’s throw away.

A cosy and very special garden property in a wonderful location. Perfectly placed for a holiday of total relaxation, a holiday full of sightseeing (the sights and sounds of Venice being just a short hop away by vaporetto), or a little bit of both.
