A highly desirable little ‘upside down’ house with a hint of country style, in one of our most requested areas - between the Accademia Bridge/Academy of Fine Arts and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and close to the Church of Santa Maria Della Salute and the popular Zattere promenade overlooking the Giudecca Canal.
Ca’ San Vio is roomy, well planned and arranged over three floors in such a way as to take full advantage of its aspect and position. The private front door opens onto a small entrance where you’ll find a bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub. From there, a staircase leads to the first floor and to the two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with twins and a bathroom with shower. On the next floor, there’s an airy living space opening onto a small sunny terrace and a fully fitted kitchen with dining area.
Cosy in winter and with air-conditioning and fan for warmer weather, the apartment is in a peaceful position with a delightful street of small shops lying just at the end of the calle, selling everything from jewellery, silk items and art to home-ware and a hairstyle at the neighbourhood barber shop.
Visit the little shoe shop ‘Dittura Gianni’, a treasure trove of jewel-coloured velvet ‘Furlane’ slippers, historically worn by gondoliers and these days by Venetians when relaxing at home. Or enjoy a leisurely lunchtime snack at one of the outside tables of café ‘Bar da Gino’ just on the corner - a great spot for people watching on a lazy afternoon.
