Occupying the very top floor of the residence, Ca’ Del Monastero 7 is a spectacular Venetian loft crowned by a private altana rooftop terrace overlooking the rooftops and bell towers of Venice.
Reached by lift to the second floor and then one final flight of stairs, this exceptional apartment welcomes guests into an impressive open-plan living space where soaring ceilings and magnificent exposed timber beams create an unforgettable sense of volume and character.

Bathed in natural light from roof windows and dormers, the apartment combines contemporary elegance with the charm of traditional Venetian architecture. The spacious living area offers comfortable seating, a television area and generous room to relax after a day exploring the city.

Adjacent to the living space is a fully equipped modern kitchen featuring everything needed for preparing meals at home, together with a dining area perfect for leisurely breakfasts or intimate dinners.
The sleeping area has been thoughtfully designed to preserve the openness of the loft while ensuring comfort and privacy.
The elegant master bedroom is partially separated from the main living space and features a comfortable double bed, refined furnishings and warm contemporary finishes that complement the historic structure.
The modern bathroom is generously sized and includes both a bathtub and a separate walk-in shower.

The true highlight of the apartment lies just beyond the bedroom: a staircase leads to the private altana, one of Venice’s most iconic architectural features. From this exclusive rooftop terrace guests can enjoy panoramic views across the surrounding rooftops, taking in the dome and bell tower of San Geremia, the distinctive turret of the Fondaco dei Turchi – home to Venice’s Natural History Museum – and the nearby bell tower of San Zan Degolà. Our Comment

A truly distinctive Venetian loft offering generous living spaces, exceptional character and the rare luxury of a private rooftop altana.
Ideally located within easy walking distance of Venice Santa Lucia Railway Station and Piazzale Roma, and even closer to the vaporetto stops of Riva di Biasio and San Stae, providing convenient connections throughout the city.

The surrounding neighbourhood is one of Venice’s most authentic and atmospheric areas, far from the busiest tourist routes yet within easy reach of the city’s most celebrated landmarks.
Just moments away lies Campo San Giacomo dell’Orio, one of Venice’s most beloved squares, shaded by trees and frequented mainly by locals. Here guests will find cafés, restaurants, small shops and a well-stocked supermarket.

Excellent dining options abound nearby, including All’Anfora, La Zucca, Il Refolo, Al Prosecco and Antica Besseta, while cultural attractions such as Ca’ Pesaro, Palazzo Mocenigo and the Fondazione Prada at Ca’ Corner della Regina are all within a short stroll.
The Basilica dei Frari, the Scuola Grande di San Rocco, Campo San Polo and the vibrant Rialto district are also easily reached on foot, allowing guests to experience the very best of Venice directly from their doorstep.

Please note that the operation of air-conditioning and heating is subject to local municipal regulations. In general, heating is available from mid-October to mid-April, while air-conditioning is available from mid-April to mid-October. Please contact us for further information.

For arrivals between 8:00 p.m. and midnight, a late arrival fee of €50 applies and must be paid in cash upon arrival.
For arrivals between midnight and 1:00 a.m., the late arrival fee is €100.
For arrivals after 1:00 a.m., we reserve the right to accept the check-in request and any additional supplement will be assessed according to the arrival time.

Beds will be arranged as shown in the photographs. Any request to modify the bed configuration, where possible, must be communicated at least 7 days prior to arrival.

A charmingly evocative bolthole for two in the building once lived in by the 16th Century Italian Renaissance painter Tintoretto and within a minute of his final resting place in the beautiful gothic Church of Madonna Dell 'Orto (Our Lady of the Garden). Close to the historic Jewish Ghetto and the Jewish Museum of Venice and steps away from the famous turbaned and metal-nosed statues of the ancient 'Moorish' spice merchants of Campo and Fondamenta Dei Mori - symbolic reminders of Venice's historic trading routes with the East, the legacy of which survives to this day amidst the hubbub and commerce of the Rialto markets, a mere 10-15 minute stroll and short 'traghetto' ride away from the apartment.


Elegant, bright and with beautifully languid south-facing views over the Rio Della Sensa canal, the air-conditioned* Ca' Tintoretto is on the first floor and is attractively furnished with a stylishly eclectic mix of antiques, contemporary pieces, books and collectables. It has a cosy and freshly decorated beamed sitting/dining room with comfortable seating, wooden flooring, eastern rugs, a music system and two large windows with wrought iron balustrades which overlook the canal, a bridge and the occasional art-lover successful in hunting down and photographing this historically significant landmark.


Just off this main room lies a compact and very well-fitted kitchen and, to the side, a spacious and dreamy 'boudoir' - a cleverly divided space featuring a double bed and modern en suite shower room at one end, an enormous wall-to-wall sofa directly overlooking the room's beautiful arched window at the other and a perfect spot for idling away the time while contemplating your choice of restaurant for lunch or dinner as the boats gently pass by.


In an area of wonderful walks through the laid-back and very traditional neighbourhoods of Cannaregio and within easy reach of a growing number of restaurants and 'osterie' such as 'Anice Stellato', 'Rioba', 'Ristorante Diana' and 'Al Timon' dotted along the wide waterfronts of the Fondamente De La Sensa, Della Misericordia and Dei Ormesini, not forgetting the Osteria L'Orto dei Mori just steps away from the apartment.


Convenient for the shops of the Strada Nuova for stocking up on supplies and to the vaporetto system at Madonna Dell' Orto (on Venice's northern embankment) for travel around the city, trips to beaches of the Lido and for sightseeing visits to the glass-blowing island of Murano, the lace-making and rainbow-coloured island of Burano and the ancient island of Torcello with its 7th Century Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and later Church of Santa Fosca.

We organize arrivals between midnight and one o'clock with an additional cost of Euro 100, after this time we reserve the right to accept the customer always with a supplement to be quantified according to the time of arrival.

Beds will be arranged as either doubles or twins as shown in the photos. The possibility of turning a double bed into twins or vice versa can be found in the description and must be requested at least 7 days before arrival.
