A Venetian Golden Oldie becomes the Hip Kid in Town!
A wonderful new apartment (even though we say so ourselves ;), meticulously restored to provide the most pleasurable combination of luxury and charm possible, and featuring fittings and furnishings carefully selected, designed and made to measure to make the surroundings and ambience as bright, cheerful (and as enjoyable!) as can be.
A short amble to the iconic Church of the Salute and to the Punta Della Dogana Center of Contemporary Art at Dorsoduro’s eastern tip, and close to a fine variety of eating places and bars including Ai Gondolieri and Ristorante Rivierafor fine dining, and Osteria Al Squero and Cantinone Gia Schiavi for cicheti and spritz.
An easy waterside stroll to the Conad supermarket at the western end of the Zattere, to 4 vaporetto (water bus) stops – Zattere Spirito Santo, Zattere, Salute and Accademia – for travel around the city (note that St. Mark’s Square can be reached by vaporetto from Salute in under 5 minutes on Line 1!), and also close to the ‘traghetto’ at Calle Lanza/Calle del Traghetto S. Gregorio which, during operating hours, ferries passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal to the district of San Marco.
Also within easy reach of the Alilaguna boat stop connecting the Zattere to Venice's Marco Polo Airport.
*Please note that the operation of air conditioning and heating are subjected to the municipality regulation. Generally, the heating works from middle of October to middle of April, while air conditioning works between middle of Aprile to middle of October. Please contact us for further information.
For arrivals between 8.00 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for "late arrival" of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. We organize arrivals between midnight and one o'clock with an additional cost of Euro 100, after this time we reserve the right to accept the customer always with a supplement to be quantified according to the time of arrival.
Beds will be arranged as either doubles or twins as shown in the photos. The possibility of turning a double bed into twins or vice versa can be found in the description and must be requested at least 7 days before arrival.

I would definitely book again with Venice Views - the service was first class. On our arrival in Venice - Marta was waiting for us with a very warm welcome. The Apartment was still being cleansed - so we went straight out - it would of being nice to see more

But I totally understand it was early afternoon when we arrived. Venice Views made our stay in Venice excellent. Marta was very helpful with recommendation on Restaurants - etc. she was excellent. My only negative comment is that the entrance is via a long flight of stairs, from ground level to the second floor (third floor for Americans). That proved a problem for me, but I cannot say enough good things about Views on Venice's assistance in relocating us. They made the process very smooth. We have already booked with them for our next Venice vacation.

We were a party of five and we spent a fabulous Christmas and New Year at the Gondolieri apartment. This apartment has been recently renovated to a very high standard with a great deal of thought to make it comfortable and easy to live in. It is stylishly decorated, good sized bedrooms and bathrooms and a very well equipped kitchen with Miele appliances. The lounge and dining room were well designed with plenty of room for us all. And importantly in the winter the heating was incredibly efficient making it very cosy. The apartment is in a very quiet part of Dorsodouro and one feels that this is the real Venice. The only sound was that of the church bells. The apartment is within minutes of the Accademia bridge, vaporetto stops and an easy walk to a well stocked supermarket. Location is fantastic. This was a home from home and a wonderful apartment to spend a family Christmas and New Year. Equally it will be lovely in the summer with a terrace overlooking the rooftops where we celebrated Christmas with a bottle of Prosecco on a sunny Christmas morning!

A few steps away from the 18th-century church of Santa Maria Della Fava and close to a host of famous sights and attractions including the atmospheric Venetian time-capsule that is the Querini Stampalia, the fabulous Palazzo Grimani just off Campo Santa Maria Formosa, the Church of San Zaccaria with its crypt and wonderful Bellini altarpiece, and Vivaldi’s La Pietà on the sunny Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront…
… A short stroll towards a very sedate pace of life lived out amongst the tranquil calles, canals and green spaces of Castello with its laid-back and very genuine neighbourhood vibe…

Rubbing shoulders with some of the city’s most coveted residential addresses and ideally placed for the first time or regular visitor to Venice who appreciates peaceful surroundings yet who’d like to stay close to many of Venice’s star attractions.
Within a stone’s throw of the Palazzo Grassi Museum of Modern Art, and within moments of several osterie, the outdoor cafes of Campo Santo Stefano, a wine shop, a local grocery/delicatessen, plus a well-stocked Punto supermarket just a little further on.
Seconds to the area’s antique shops and galleries including that of interior designer Chiarastella Cattana - a discreetly sophisticated showroom of fine and distinctively woven textiles and furnishings and, for scent-lovers, the Venice outlet of the famous Florentine ‘Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella’ - one of the oldest pharmacies in the world and one time fragrance maker to Catherine de’ Medici.
