Wir stellen das ganz besondere Ca' Del Monastero vor - eine schöne antike Residenz mit 9 prächtig restaurierten Wohnungen unterschiedlicher Größe (einschließlich Ca' Del Monastero 2 - siehe Abschnitt unten), die sich in dem ehemaligen Kloster befindet, das einst mit der alten Kirche von San Zan Degolà (eines der ältesten in Venedig) verbunden war, nur wenige Minuten vom Canal Grande im Stadtteil Santa Croce entfernt.
Die Ca' Del Monastero Wohnungen genießen eine Atmosphäre ruhiger Gelassenheit in einer der eindrucksvollsten und unberührtesten Gegenden Venedigs - in der Tat eine Zeitreise - und bieten geräumige und wunderschön gestaltete Unterkünfte für kleine und mittlere Gruppen oder bis zu 38 Gäste, wenn zusammengenommen.*

Eine geräumige und beeindruckende Wohnung mit 2 Schlaf- und 2 Badzimmern auf der Rückseite der Residenz mit Blick auf die Salizada und den hübschen, von Mauern umgebenen Garten des Naturkundemuseums von Venedig im Fondaco Dei Turchi.
Mit Platz für vier Personen im 1. Obergeschoss der Residenz über Aufzug erreichbar, verfügt die Wohnung über ein elegantes offenes Haupt-Wohn- / Esszimmer mit Kamin (wird nicht benutzt), ein großes L-förmiges Sofa, einen Essbereich mit vier Sitzplätzen und viel Platz zum Entspannen nach einem anstrengenden Tag in der Stadt.
Gleich nebenan liegt die voll ausgestattete und sehr schön eingerichtete Küche / Frühstücksraum mit einem Tisch für zwei Personen - ideal, um Ihrem Küchenchef Gesellschaft zu leisten, während er ein Festmahl mit Zutaten aus dem Rialto Markt zubereitet - und weiter hinten befindet sich ein Zweibettzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten (eins davon 'ausziehbar') und ein modernes Badezimmer mit großer Dusche gegenüber.

The communication with Views on Venice really could not have been any better. They also arranged a water taxi for our 4am trip to the airport. This apartment was by far the best one we stayed at during our two week Italian vacation. |

We loved the security, the spotlessly clean apartment and common spaces, the comfortable, well furnished and well equipped rooms, the lovely outlook from our apartment, the easy walk to the Grand Canal, the local campo, supermarket, bakery, enoteca, the locals dancing tango in the campo on Tuesday evening, all within easy walking to San Marco, Dorsoduro, Castello...and yet away from the heaving crowds. Dreaming of returning soon and afraid my review will encourage too many tourists, the irony of modern day travel.

Marta was very thorough and helpful when she showed us the apartment (and we did try the mokka! thanks:) I have only two (very minor) suggestions: It would be good (especially since we were travelling with kids) to have some English language channels on the TV,perhaps some English language children's DVDs for the player. When checking out accommodation options in Venice, I first looked on trip advisor, but did not find reviews for you there. It might be worthwhile having a trip advisor 'presence' . We loved everything about our stay at Ca' Del Monastero 2. From the start, the communication between the host and us was fast, smooth and thorough. Any question we had was quickly answered. Upon arrival, the very pleasant Francesca met us at the S. Stae vaporetto stop and walked us to the flat, which was barely a five minute walk. She gave us a very informative walk-thru of the apartment, a map of the city and a book filled with things to do, places to eat, shop, relax,etc... The flat is beautifully furnished and the kitchen is stocked with all of the essentials. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The A/C worked wonderfully well. We really loved everything about the apartment. The location was great too. It is a little removed from the touristy parts of the city, which we loved, but really only a fiveten minute walk to sites like the Rialto Bridge. We highly recommend this flat to anyone visiting Venice!

She was very helpful, informative, and made sure we were comfortable with all the appliances and amenities in the unit, and gave us her contact number before she left. The apartment was in an ideal location at the north end of the island, close to the Piazzale Roma, train station, and Grand Canal. It was a large apartment by European standards. It was well equipped for long stays, complete kitchen, and a washer/dryer were available on the lower level. The pictures on the website were accurate. Security was excellent with locking entrance doors into the building and heavy door and lock on the apartment. Very clean, well maintained, and quiet. For a two bedroom, two bath apartment, this is a great value. Dealing with the staff was a pleasure. Very eager to please the customer and make their visit to Venice a very positive, memorable experience. Much better than the hotels in which we've stayed in the past. We will definitely make our arrangements through this company when we return to Venice.

We are fond of the location in Santa Croce, the proximity to Campo San Giacomo dell'Orio, the abundance of good restaurants and gelaterie, notably La Zucca and Il Refolo, and Gelato di Natura and San Stae. What an amazing apartment! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The 2 bedroom ,2 bathroom apartment was wonderful & the kitchen meant that we could create some memorable dishes from the local produce! It also had a washing machine & dryer. The apartment mehr anzeigen

We were greeted by Christina at Campo San Zandegola where our water taci dropped us off just in front of the building housing the Monastero apartments. She gave us a thorough briefing on the workings of the apartment, especially explaining how to use the the kitchen equipment and the washer and dryer. The apartment was well-furnished and clean. When there was a problem with the wi-fi connection, it was promptly attended to by Christina, who explained what to do should the problem recur. The location of Ca' Del Monastero is perfect. Campo S. Giacomo Dell'Orio is a lovely neighborhood environment where families gather and children play. Coop supermarket is convenient for shopping, Gelato Di Natura has the most incredible walnut and fig gelato, and just across the Ponte del Megio is the wonderful restaurant La Zucca providing thoughtfully prepared food in an intimate setting, making every meal there an unforgettable experience. This was our third time to stay in apartments by VOV each experience has been wonderful. We hope to be back in the spring.

A characterful and warmly welcoming sitting / TV room in cool ‘salvia’ sage green, the colour contrasting beautifully with the wooden timbers overhead, traditional terrazzo flooring underfoot, and a deep crimson-velvet ivory-piped sofa set before a mixed media on canvas artwork by Elia Valentini (student at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia) entitled ‘Grande Blu 1, 2025’ and purchased at the recent charity auction for Avapo Venezia
A spacious free-flowing open-plan dining room / kitchen space in deep pinky-red terracotta overlooking the west-facing Campo Incurabili to the fore, with beams overhead, fabulous wooden herringbone parquet flooring underfoot, a well-equipped contemporary kitchen in white (with washing machine / dryer) where you can crack open the Prosecco or rustle up a storm (if cooking with the super-fresh local ingredients is your bag!), plus a dining suite hosting 6 guests to the side and just the spot for some convivial downtime where you can all share stories of your Venetian adventures!
A restful principal double bedroom to the rear of the apartment dressed in sunny yellow and peacock blues and greens, and furnished with a beautifully upholstered double bed with can be split into twins upon request

OUR COMMENT
A charming apartment championing pared-down Venetian appeal in one of our absolute favourite parts of town!
A short stroll to Campo San Vio on the Grand Canal and the Palazzo Cini Gallery to the west, the Church of the Salute and the Punta Della Dogana Center of Contemporary Art to the east, and close to a great choice of eating places and bars including Ai Gondolieri, Lineadombra and Ristorante Riviera for fine dining, and the popular Osteria Al Squero, Corner Pub and Cantinone Gia Schiavi for spritz and cicheti.
An easy walk to 4 vaporetto (water bus) stops – Zattere Spirito Santo, Zattere, Salute and Accademia for easy travel around the city (note that St. Mark’s Square can be reached by vaporetto from Salute in under 5 minutes on Line 1!), to 2 Conad supermarkets – one moments away just behind the Zattere Spirito Santo vaporetto stop and the other at the western end of the Zattere – and to the traghetto at Calle Lanza / Calle del Traghetto San Gregorio which, during operating hours, ferries passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal to the traghetto stop beside the Gritti Palace in the district of San Marco.
Also within easy reach of the Alilaguna boat stop connecting the Zattere to Venice's Marco Polo Airport.
Please note that the operation of air-conditioning and heating are subject to municipality regulation. In general, heating is available from mid-October to mid-April, while air-conditioning is available from mid-April to mid-October. Please contact us for further information.
For arrivals between 8 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for "late arrival" of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. UNSER KOMMENTAR
Ein charmanter Platz, ja ein Zuhause, in einem idyllischen Ort, wo die Zeit Generation nach Generation stillzustehen scheint…
Ein sehr kurzer Spaziergang über den weiten Rio Terà dei Catecumeni zur prächtigen Votivkirche Santa Maria Della Salute mit atemberaubendem Blick auf den Campanile in San Marco… und friedlich gelegen (außer während der 'Festa Della Salute', die am 21. November jedes Jahres stattfindet** - siehe unten!)
Nur wenige Schritte vom beliebten kleinen Café / Imbiss bekannt als 60/40 entfernt - perfekt für einen morgendlichen Cappuccino und Gebäck, einen frisch gepressten Saft, ein gefülltes Brötchen oder ein erfrischendes Eis oder 3! (Hinweis: Nur eine Handvoll Barhocker verfügbar) - und nur einen kurzen Spaziergang von den Accademia-Galerien und -Brücke (und dem VOV-Büro!), dem Palazzo Cini Gallery und einer Vielzahl von Restaurants und Bars entfernt, darunter Linea D'Ombra , Ai Gondolieri und Ristorante Riviera für gehobene Küche und Corner Pub, Osteria Al Squero und Cantinone Gia Schiavi für Panini / Cicheti und Spritz.
Ein malerischer Spaziergang am Wasser entlang bis zum Conad-Supermarkt am westlichen Ende der Zattere und in der Nähe von 4 Vaporetto-Haltestellen (Zattere Spirito Santo, Zattere, Salute und Accademia), um die Stadt zu erkunden (beachten Sie, den Markusplatz kann mit Vaporetto von der Haltestelle Salute in weniger als 5 Minuten mit Linie 1 erreicht werden!)
Auch nur Augenblicke bis zum "Traghetto" in der Calle Lanza / Calle del Traghetto S. Gregorio, das während der Betriebszeiten Passagiere mit der Gondel über den Canal Grande zum Stand neben dem Gritti Palace Hotel im Stadtteil San Marco bringt und nah an der Alilaguna-Bootshaltestelle, die die Zattere mit dem Flughafen Marco Polo in Venedig verbindet.
** Eine der bewegendsten und beliebtesten aller venezianischen Veranstaltungen. Jedes Jahr am 21. November pilgern die Venezianer zur Pestkirche Santa Maria Della Salute (Heilige Maria der Gesundheit), um zur Jungfrau Maria zu beten und Kerzen anzuzünden, während Gondolieri ihre Ruder gesegnet bekommen. Eine Pontonbrücke wird über den Canal Grande von Santa Maria Del Giglio zur Salute gebaut und die riesigen Türen der Kirche werden für die Stadt und ihre Besucher geöffnet, während in der Nähe von Salute etliche Stände mit Kerzen, Luftballons und allerlei süßer Versuchungen belegt sind!
Bei Anreisen zwischen 20:00 und 22:00 Uhr. Bei „verspäteter Anreise“ fällt ein Aufpreis in Höhe von 50 Euro an, der bei der Anreise in bar zu entrichten ist. Wir organisieren Anreisen zwischen Mitternacht und 13 Uhr mit einem Aufpreis von 100 Euro. Danach behalten wir uns das Recht vor, den Kunden immer mit einem Zuschlag zu akzeptieren, der je nach Ankunftszeit zu beziffern ist.
Die Betten werden entweder als Doppel- oder als Zwillingsbetten aufgestellt, wie auf den Fotos gezeigt. Die Möglichkeit, ein Doppelbett in Zwillinge zu verwandeln oder umgekehrt, ist in der Beschreibung zu finden und muss mindestens 7 Tage vor der Ankunft angefragt werden.17 Bewertungen
