Una meravigliosa mansarda con una splendida 'altana' (terrazza sul tetto) che offre una vista eccezionale, nel cuore di Castello. A due passi a piedi dal caratteristico campanile pendente di San Giorgio dei Greci.
Ca' Del Pittore ospita quattro persone all’ ultimo piano dello stesso edificio dell’elegante Ca' dei Greci (otto posti letto) e a breve distanza a piedi da tutte le meraviglie di Piazza San Marco (tra cui la Basilica, il Palazzo Ducale e la Torre dell'Orologio) ma lontano dalla folla e dal rumore. L'appartamento ha una zona d'ingresso e una scala che porta ad un ampia sala resa accogliente e caratteristica grazie alle magnifiche travi a vista, alle pareti in legno, al pavimento in listoni in legno, l’attraente salotto 'incassato' e gli arredi scelti con gusto e passione.
Da questa stanza principale si accede, attraverso una porta vetrata ad arco circondata da una graziosa decorazione in trompe-l'oeil, ad una luminosa cucina completamente attrezzata, esposta a ovest e con una vista favolosa dalle due finestre sul retro.
Ci sono due camere matrimoniali, una su ogni lato della casa, una doppia luminosa e ariosa con splendide travi a vista, armadi a muro e un letto matrimoniale; e una doppia sempre con travi a vista e due letti singoli, una pratica cabina armadio e due moderni bagni (uno con una piccola vasca e pavimento a scacchiera e un altro con wc e lavabo). Aria condizionata, lavatrice e connessione internet rendono Ca' Del Pittore una scelta comoda, pratica e conveniente in ogni stagione o per qualunque durata del soggiorno.
Una breve scala sale dalla zona giorno alla caratteristica 'altana', terrazza con panorami indimenticabili su Venezia: dalle chiese di San Francesco della Vigna e San Giorgio Maggiore in lontananza, alle cupole a cipolla di San Marco con il suo campanile che svetta sopra una sovrabbondanza di tetti in terracotta.
IL NOSTRO COMMENTO
Un appartamento che amiamo molto, arredato con gusto e passione dai proprietari innamorati di Venezia.
Una breve passeggiata porta alla suggestiva Scuola di San Giorgio degli Schiavoni e i suoi splendidi dipinti del Carpaccio, alla monumentale Basilica domenicana di Santi Giovanni e Paolo (una delle più grandi chiese di Venezia e luogo di sepoltura di 25 Dogi veneziani), e il Campo Santa Maria Formosa (sede della Querini Stampalia) passando per strada da Palazzo Grimani.
Ancora più vicino a casa – ad un attimo dall'imponente e recentemente restaurata Chiesa di San Lorenzo (a lungo chiusa al pubblico, ora ospita "Ocean Space " progetto artistico dedicato alla conservazione degli oceani), si trova anche il Museo di Dipinti Sacri Bizantini (Museo delle Icone).
A breve distanza si trova il supermercato Punto per fare scorta di provviste e la fermata del vaporetto di San Zaccaria sulla Riva Degli Schiavoni.

Although I realize it's not "green," but having one roll of paper towels and a box of kleenex would prevent staining the linen dishtowels and bathroom towels when wiping up coffee dripsremoving make-up. We will certainly book again with you on our next trip, maybe even before 2 years! Wondering if you offer concierge service? Mostly for carrying luggage updown the stairs as well as meeting at the water bus and helping with bridges to an apartment location? Many thanks again! jan

One suggestion for improvement might be to supply a pint of milk and some sliced bread, Butter, some eggs - so that on arrival guests can make tea/coffee with milk & an option to eat without having to go out to a supermarket before they do anything thing else. We recently stayed in a self catering Windmill and the owners did just that. ALL of the comments in the Guest Book refers to the wonderful welcome of milk, eggs, bread....Just a suggestion. Thank you we had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Views on Venicethe apartment.

The welcome was great - worth getting the water taxi that VOV organised - takes you literally to the door. Apartment itself was very high spec, and the roof terrace is wonderful - great views of the sun setting over the Basillica & Campanille di San Marco. Would definitely like to stay again.

We requested that they turn on the A/C several hours before our arrival to make sure the apartment was cool, and Fredricka made a special trip to do so. The beds were super comfy. Our host gave us specific instructions for getting a water taxi upon our arrival. Fredricka was waiting for us when we arrived at the apartment and gave us a very thorough tour and explained everything to us. Our hosts booked a water taxi for us from the apartment to the airport. They were very responsive every time we messaged them. They even went so far as to mail our WiTour equipment back for us! We will stay at this apartment when returning to Venice

VOV Venice booklet is very informative and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We loved the location of the apt.

We had a wonderful stay at Ca' Del Pittore, a charming little apartment just far enough from the beaten path to make for the perfect experience in Venice. The views from the altana were enjoyed by everyone and the space has been converted in a most clever way. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning highly effective, which turned out to be quite important during our stay. My only complaint might be that the kitchen was a bit understocked. We were no more than a 7 minute walk from Saint Mark's Square, but there were none of the oppressive crowds in our neighborhood. Shopping and transporation nearby. Do not hesitate to visit this flat. Just be prepared for a few steps to get there!

Upon arriving in Venezia, we were a little disappointed that the vaporetto (number 5.1) that VOV told us to take to the apartment went around the back of the island (via Canale Scomenzera) and did not transverse the Grand Canal as we were looking forward to enjoying the ride through the city as is customary when one arrives in Venice I'd recommend taking the number 12 vaporetti instead which takes longer but is much more enjoyable. Once we arrived at the San Zaccaria stop, the VOV rep, Cristina, promptly met us and led us on the 5 min walk to the apartment in the less touristy Castello area. Once in the building and through the somewhat dreary entrance area, the apartment is on the top floor with no lift. This was not a problem for us but could be an issue for elderlythose with heavy luggage. What a wonderful space here, very interesting floor plan with lots of character! Bedrooms and kitchen are brightly lit with natural light from the windows. All very clean with a surprisingly large master bedroom. All beds and bedding were very comfortable my daughter even said the pull out single bed she slept on in the living area was great. There's also a great roof deck with excellent views over the city. The apt has a wonderful well-equipped kitchen with a large table that served as a gathering point for my family of 5 (more so than the living area). The clothes washer worked well and came in handy after 5 days in the Cinque Terre. Also, it was hot our first day in Venice and the A/C worked great throughout the entire apartment. The apt is close to San Marco (5 min walk) but far enough away from the maddening crowds of cruise ship tourists A brisk walk took me across the Academia bridge to the Dosudoro within 20 mins. Very good local restaurants nearby and a good supermarket with everything you need for a full mealjust a snack (fresh produce, bread, cured meats, cheeses, beer/wine, etc). We experienced some minor plumbing issues (downstairs shower drain was slow, kitchen faucet loose) but, overall, I highly recommend this apartment for familiesa group of friends for a wonderful stay in Venice. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We have only wonderful things to say about Views on Venice! Things began well with a smooth transfer from the airport via private water taxi to our front door, where we met Giacomo, the representative who explained everything about the apartment. The apartment itself, Ca' del Pittore, was absolutely marvelous as beautiful as the pictures, much larger than I expected to find in Europe, and certainly big enough for two couples. It could have slept 6 easily. The staff was responsive to our questions during the week. But they really outdid themselves when our traveling companion left her expensive camera on the bus to the airport on our way home. VoV staff were able to retrieve it from the bus company and keep it at their office until our friend could arrange to get it shipped to the U.S. I really can't say enough positive things about Views on Venice! Anyone thinking about renting an apartment there should have absolutely no second thoughts about dealing with this company.

The warm atmosphere with the open views of the roof construction is really unique. Also with cold temperatures outside it was possible to heat well the living room. In the generally well equipped kitchen we missed a few good pots for cooking which were furnished generously by VoV. The supermarket closeby provided us with excellent products. The New Years Eve firework just in front of us was great !

In an enchanting location overlooking one of the prettiest canals in all of Venice, a bright and classic two bedroom apartment situated in a tranquil position right next door to the Convent of the Eremite and opposite one of the most historic and well-known restaurants in the city, ‘Locanda Montin’.
Ca’ Canaletto on the Rio Delle Romite (sometimes known as ‘Rio Dell’ Eremite’ or ‘Canal of the Hermits’ in English) offers air-conditioning and plenty of flexible living space with tasteful, well furnished living and dining areas overlooking the canal, a fully fitted kitchen and a second living area with a double sofa bed.
It has a large double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with bathtub and a separate shower, a second bedroom with twin beds (which can be made unto a double - simply ask when booking) and another bathroom with shower.
The two bedrooms are quiet, comfortable and highly appealing and overlook the neighbouring gardens.
Peaceful, though certainly not isolated, the apartment is but a minute’s walk from the gentle activities of a thriving neighbourhood - take a short stroll down the alleyway opposite, with its little illuminated shrine and enticing air of secrecy, before suddenly arriving onto the Fondamenta Toletta, a charming street of bookshops, bar, gelataria, ATM and the canalside tables of the small, but highly popular, ‘Enoteca Ai Artisti’.
Also within a minute of the fine restaurants of Calle Lunga San Barnaba which leads directly to the delightful Campo San Barnaba and then onto the Ca’ Rezzonico vaporetto stop and the highly impressive Ca’ Rezzonico Museum of 18th Century Art, with its commemorative plaque to the poet Robert Browning, directly shouldering the Grand Canal.Are you part of a larger group who would like to stay close together but in separate apartments? Un appartamento perfetto: due stanze da letto, una terrazza e un balcone con vista canale, in una posizione incantevole che domina uno dei canali più belli di tutta Venezia. Situato in posizione tranquilla, proprio accanto alla Chiesa e al Convento delle Eremite e di fronte ad uno dei ristoranti storici più famosi di Venezia: la 'Locanda Montin'.
Completamente ristrutturato secondo i più alti standard e con gusto squisito, Ca' Dell' Artista si trova al secondo (ultimo piano) di un edificio che si affaccia sul Rio Delle Romite (noto anche come 'Rio Dell' Eremite') e dispone di aria condizionata e connessione internet.
Il luminoso soggiorno e la zona pranzo sono decorati con un intonaco lucido 'verde veneziano’ dolcemente vellutato che riecheggia le tonalità delle increspature del tranquillo canale sottostante, mentre l'ampia zona giorno è caratterizzata da alti soffitti con magnifiche travi a vista. Le ampie finestre offrono un panorama da sogno sul canale, mentre la terrazza di fronte è ideale per assistere al dolce via vai sull’acqua e per godersi un aperitivo pre-cena prima di uscire a cenare in uno dei numerosi e ottimi ristoranti locali.
Oppure prepararsi la cena nella moderna e ben attrezzata cucina che porta alla grande seconda terrazza, per poi ritirarsi in una delle due tranquille e rilassanti camere da letto - la prima con due confortevoli ed eleganti letti singoli, con accesso al secondo terrazzo, e la seconda riccamente decorata con un letto matrimoniale, entrambe con vista incantevole sui bellissimi giardini circostanti. I due bagni sono altrettanto eleganti - uno è decorato in un elegante blu 'Tiffany' con vasca e l'altro in tonalità più decise con moderne piastrelle di calcare e doccia ed è adiacente alla camera matrimoniale.
L'appartamento si trova a meno di un minuto a piedi da un vivace quartiere tipicamente veneziano – basta fare una breve passeggiata lungo la calle di fronte, con il suo piccolo santuario illuminato e un'atmosfera di suggestiva segretezza, per arrivare in Fondamenta della Toletta, con librerie, bar, gelateria, Bancomat e le insegne lungo il canale della piccola, ma molto popolare, 'Enoteca Ai Artisti'. A pochi passi di distanza ci sono inoltre i raffinati ristoranti di Calle Lunga San Barnaba, che conduce direttamente al delizioso Campo San Barnaba e poi alla fermata del vaporetto Ca' Rezzonico e al Museo Ca' Rezzonico, con i capolavori del XVIII secolo e la targa commemorativa al poeta Robert Browning, direttamente dietro al Canal Grande.

Un appartamento di grande successo - consigliato per gli ospiti che cercano un indirizzo elegante e molto confortevole in uno dei quartieri più belli e ricercati di Venezia.
Per gli arrivi tra le ore 20 e mezzanotte è previsto un costo aggiuntivo per “arrivo tardivo” di euro 50, da pagare in contanti al momento dell'arrivo. Organizziamo arrivi tra mezzanotte e l’una con un costo aggiuntivo di euro 100, oltre tale orario Views on Venice si riserva la facoltà di accettare il cliente sempre con un supplemento da quantificare in base all’orario di arrivo.
