As ‘cute as pie’, recently revamped in anticipation of your stay, the sleeps 6 (+3) Lo Squero comprises 3 entirely separate apartments* offering comfort, a top location and quiet elegance all the way.
Situated on a peaceful Dorsoduro calle leading to the narrow Rio de Toresele canal where once there stood a squero (boatyard) many, many moons ago, each charming Lo Squero apartment promises a perfect base in Venice for couples, solo travellers and groups of up to 9 when booked as a whole.
‘Hidden in plain sight’ just moments from Campo San Vio**, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the dazzling Zattere promenade and boasting Wi-Fi connection and a washing machine in each, the fully air-conditioned apartments are spread over 3 floors of the property (one per level) and include:
Lo Squero 3 – 2nd (i.e. top) Floor
Newly refurbished (2022) with Italian flair and finesse and accessed via a main entrance doorway on the calle shared with Lo Squero 2 just below, this beautifully cosy apartment sleeps 2 (+1) and comprises:
Stairs up to the apartment entrance and a further internal staircase leading up and into a well-equipped kitchen, which in turn leads into…
A bright, cheerful and tastefully furnished south and west-facing sitting/dining room strikingly decorated in York’s ‘Blue and Blossom Chinoserie’ wallpaper and home to a beamed and vaulted ceiling overhead, warm wooden flooring underfoot, a smart single blue velvet sofa bed for lounging, and dining table seating 4… not forgetting a dainty little balcony overlooking the courtyard below
A restful master bedroom freshly enrobed in caffè latte / café au lait colours with a double bed that can be split into twins at your request

A Venetian casetta that’s sure to make you smile, just tucked away on Dorsoduro’s ‘Museum Mile’…
A short amble to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, the iconic Church of the Salute, the Accademia Galleries and Bridge (and the VOV office!), the Palazzo Cini Gallery, plus the Punta Della Dogana Center of Contemporary Art, and close to a variety of fine eating places and bars including Ai Gondolieri and Ristorante Riviera for fine dining, and Corner Pub, Osteria Al Squero and Cantinone Gia Schiavi for cicheti and spritz.
An easy waterside stroll to 2 Conad supermarkets – one at the western end of the Zattere and a smaller one closer to home at Zattere Spirito Santo – and to 4 vaporetto (water bus) stops – Zattere Spirito Santo, Zattere, Salute and Accademia – for travel around the city (note that St. Mark’s Square can be reached by vaporetto from Salute in under 5 minutes on Line 1!)
Also close to the ‘traghetto’ at Calle Lanza/Calle del Traghetto S. Gregorio which, during operating hours, ferries passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal to the district of San Marco, and within easy reach of the Alilaguna boat stop connecting the Zattere to Venice's Marco Polo Airport.
For arrivals between 8.00 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for "late arrival" of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. We organize arrivals between midnight and one o'clock with an additional cost of Euro 100, after this time we reserve the right to accept the customer always with a supplement to be quantified according to the time of arrival.
Beds will be arranged as either doubles or twins as shown in the photos. The possibility of turning a double bed into twins or vice versa can be found in the description and must be requested at least 7 days before arrival.

They arranged our water taxi and our stay and then at the last minute our airline changed our tickets and Views on Venice quickly extended our stay and adjusted our water taxi. They are absolutely wonderful, especially since this was our first trip to Italy. We were met at the water taxi and taken to the apartment and given directions for our stay. We highly recommend this company and this apartment!

Close to the Zattere water bus stop and to Accademia bridge, connecting you to all main attractions easily by water or by walking. We especially appreciated their great service. We needed a minor shower repair on our first day and it was fixed immediately. They booked our water taxi to and from the airport and provided us with easy instructions on how to find it. Check-in was seamless as we were met at the taxi and given a detailed overview of the apartment once we entered. We even got excellent recommendations for restaurants and gelaterias. Thank you Views on Venice!

This apartment is in my preferred area of Venice. Easy transport options from either the airport or train station. A less touristy area but still easy to get anywhere in Venice by foot due to the proximity of the Accademia bridge. The apartment was clean and as shown in the photos. The bed was very comfortable with quality linens and extra pillows available. Drawers, shelving and hanging space for clothing in the bedroom. The balcony was nice for morning coffee, afternoon drinks in the sun and for drying laundry. The washing machine has a rapid cycle and there was a good sized drying rack. The bathroom is small but functional with plenty of hot water and good pressure in the shower (and shelving in the shower for soap /shampoo). Plenty of towels provided as well, plus (not shown in the photos) a regular plug in hair dryer in addition to the wall unit. We didn't cook in but the kitchen appeared well stocked with both a Nespresso machine and Moka pot for coffee in the morning. As always (have been renting from Views on Venice since 2006) communication was great. Highly recommend this apartment and Views on Venice in general.

Lungo un vicolo nascosto con un grazioso cortile si trova una pittoresca e veneziana "casetta" con un appartamento su ogni piano!
Questa proprietà è stata recentemente rinnovata, offre 6 posti letto (+3 aggiuntivi) e comprende 3 appartamenti completamente separati ** e molto confortevoli situati in una posizione eccellente.
Collocato in una tranquilla calle di Dorsoduro, che conduce allo stretto canale del Rio de Toresele dove un tempo sorgeva uno squero (cantiere navale), ogni incantevole appartamento Lo Squero promette una base perfetta a Venezia per coppie, viaggiatori singoli e gruppi fino a 9 persone se interamente prenotato.
Lo Squero è a pochi minuti da Campo San Vio **, dalla Collezione Peggy Guggenheim e dal soleggiato promenade delle Zattere. Tutti e tre gli appartamenti sono dotati di connessione Wi-Fi e lavatrice, completamente climatizzati e sono distribuiti su 3 piani (un appartamento per livello) così distribuiti:

All’appartamento si accede tramite un portone d'ingresso principale condiviso con Lo Squero 3 (l’appartamento al piano soprastante), la proprietà è predisposta per accogliere 2 ospiti (+1 aggiuntivo) ed è composto da:
Scale che portano all'ingresso dell'appartamento.
Una luminosa camera da letto esposta a ovest che si affaccia sul cortile sottostante, elegantemente ristrutturata con toni avorio, blu ceruleo e carta da parati con richiami floreali "Ringwold" di Farrow & Ball e arredata con un divano letto matrimoniale (che dispone di 2 materassi singoli)*** e un elegante letto matrimoniale (divisibile anche in singoli su richiesta)
Una cucina/sala da pranzo/soggiorno recentemente ristrutturata completa di forno, bancone per la colazione ben illuminato e un divano letto matrimoniale rosso ciliegia (che dispone di 2 materassi singoli)*** sotto splendide pareti verde salvia con immagini in bianco e nero di Venezia
A completamento dell'alloggio Lo Squero 2 c’è un semplice bagno piastrellato con doccia

** Un luogo in primo piano nell'iconico film di David Lean "Summertime" con Katherine Hepburn e sede della chiesa anglicana di San Giorgio a Venezia ( dal campo è possibile prendere una gondola con equipaggio per esplorare i canali!)
*** Lo Squero 2 dispone di 2 divani letto matrimoniali (ciascuno con 2 materassi singoli) che offrono una maggiore flessibilità alla sistemazione per la notte

Una graziosa casetta veneziana nascosta tra i musei di Dorsoduro ...
A breve distanza dalla magnifica Chiesa della Salute, dalle Gallerie e dal Ponte dell'Accademia (e dall'ufficio VOV!), Dalla Galleria di Palazzo Cini, dal Centro d'Arte Contemporanea Punta Della Dogana e vicino a una varietà di ottimi ristoranti e bar tra cui Ai Gondolieri e Ristorante Riviera per la cucina raffinata, Corner Pub, Osteria Al Squero e Cantinone Già Schiavi per cicheti e spritz.
Si possono raggiungere facilmente a piedi ben 2 supermercati Conad (uno all'estremità occidentale delle Zattere e uno più piccolo più vicino a casa alle Zattere Spirito Santo) e 4 fermate del vaporetto (Zattere Spirito Santo, Zattere, Salute e Accademia) per viaggiare per la città. Piazza San Marco può essere raggiunta con il vaporetto dalla Salute in meno di 5 minuti sulla linea 1.
La proprietà è anche vicino al 'traghetto' in Calle Lanza / Calle del Traghetto S. Gregorio che, durante le ore di esercizio, traghetta i passeggeri in gondola attraverso il Canal Grande fino al sestiere di San Marco. Alla Zattere è presente una fermata del vaporetto Alilaguna con collegamento all'aeroporto Marco Polo di Venezia.

Accessibile tramite il proprio ingresso privato nella deliziosa "Corte Nostra" nella parte anteriore della casa, questo delizioso piccolo appartamento può ospitare 2 ospiti (+1 aggiuntivo) e comprende:
Ad uso esclusivo di Lo Squero 1 - un piccolo cortile / giardino segreto, molto romantico e perfetto per le foto, ricco di piante in vaso tra cui oleandri fioriti e palma da sago e arredato con tavolo e sedie da giardino per godersi uno spritz Campari.
Un grazioso soggiorno principale a pianta aperta in stile "Positano incontra Venezia" che si affaccia sul cortile. Composto da un salotto con divano letto singolo e una zona pranzo / cucina ben attrezzata completa di forno e tavolo per 4 persone.
Una luminosa e bella camera da letto principale arredata nei colori del mare, con un letto matrimoniale, un antico camino (non più in uso) e pareti graziosamente adornate con una collezione di conchiglie e sculture in legno.
A completamento della proprietà Lo Squero 1 c’è un semplice bagno piastrellato con doccia.
