    Description

An apartment in the nerve center of the City, for four (available to accommodate child per request) , with Rialto Bridge and boating views and its own small terrace/balcony directly on the Grand Canal - yet moments to Campo Santi Apostoli, the jewel-box Church of Santa Maria Dei Miracoli and the alleged birthplace of legendary Venetian explorer Marco Polo (1254 - 1324).

Gently nudging the fairytale archways of the hidden little 'Campiello Del Remer' courtyard just across the water from the world-renowned Rialto Market area and the broad outside dining terraces of convivial and cosmopolitan wine bar/restaurant "Narzaria" and the well-loved and traditional 'Bancogiro' on the opposite bank, Ca' Giulia offers light, bright and airy accommodation charmingly decorated with a hint of 20's nostalgia and the indelible stamp of style and great taste - irresistible!

There's a spacious and elegant sitting room flooded with natural light from the large, beautiful and intricately screened windows and arched glazed water door overlooking the Rialto Bridge and the ever-changing spectacle of water-borne activity along the canal. Enormously comfortable and featuring ornithological prints set against walls and furnishings of soothing 'sage' and 'sea-spray' greens perfectly in keeping with its memorable waterside setting, the room has one the most antique Venetian floors (made up of powder, granules marble and mixed with transparent epoxy resin formulas), a painted closely-beamed ceiling, cushioned cane furniture and access, via the water door, to a small, dainty balcony all of your own - perfect for watching the gondolas row by, glass of Prosecco in hand.

There's a fully-furnished kitchen, well-equipped and with a washing machine, two comfortable and lovely master bedrooms with warm wooden flooring, plus two bathrooms - one en suite to the master bedroom with a tiled shower and the other with a bathtub. The apartment also has air-conditioning and Wi-Fi connection .

    OUR COMMENT
A fantastically roomy and airy apartment, very central in the lively Rialto area and with breathtaking views over the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge, yet hidden away in a 'secret' campiello - the best of both worlds!

Within easy reach of a local 'Coop' supermarket for stocking up on supplies and moments to the newly opened and amazing 'T Fondaco Dei Tedeschi' luxury department store and to the many shops of the Strada Nuova.

Also close to a number of well-reviewed restaurants including 'Trattoria da Bepi Gia 54', 'Osteria La Bottega ai Promessi Sposi' and 'Casa Mia’ near the Church of Santi Apostoli, a great range of snacks at the popular ‘Rosticceria Gislon’ off Campo San Bartolomeo (their 'mozzarella in carrozza' is a must!), not forgetting the picturesque 'Taverna Del Campiello Remer' just moments from the apartment.

For arrivals between 8.00 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for "late arrival" of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. We organize arrivals between midnight and one o'clock with an additional cost of Euro 100, after this time we reserve the right to accept the customer always with a supplement to be quantified according to the time of arrival.

    Amazing Grand Canal location
    Julie (United Kingdom)
This ground floor apartment gave amazing views across to Rialto Mercato, with so much to watch from dawn to dusk. It is a very comfortable space to stay and has a wonderful restaurant virtually next door! We loved it.

First of all, I cannot stress how much I appreciated Annalisa answering all of my emails so timely and helping me understand the travel arrangement options from the cruise ship to the apartment. Secondly, Caterina was a life savor. She was so attentive to our requests and went more than above and beyond to help us. She was so kind and respectful. I think these two made the apartment even more special.
The apartment was everything the photos show and more. I wished we didn't have the barrier on the two doors for potential rising water, but we got used to it and totally understood and respected the owners need for having them in place.
We were able to get our luggage in early and then come back later after the apartment was cleaned from previous occupants. We had provisions and Caterina provided us everything we requested.
I was a little nervous with the traffic on the dock by the apartment but at the end of the day it was good to see how Venice works with the various traffic that stopped to use the dock. We did end up enjoying that experience. We also would wave and talk to the people on the gondolas as they passed by or went between the buildings, which was quite fun.
We loved that there was a quant bar/restaurant within the courtyard and visited every evening either pre-dinner or post-dinner for very creative and amazing drinks.
We will be back the next time we come to Venice! This was one of the best places we have ever stayed and 100% give it 5 stars! Thank you!!
The only thing I would suggest is cleaning the floors better. Our socks were dirty and we couldn't walk barefoot. Other than that there is nothing else I could suggest for improvement. We really enjoyed our time in the apartment and the location wa

The location is amazing, centrally located to so much to see, do, eat and shops galore! The views and pictures we took from the balcony are amazing and open family room overlooking the canal is lovely and allowed for space for work and play for our group.

Better instructions on the trash would be great, we were not sure if the various recyclables needed to be in certain bags and where exactly to put the trash and recyclables outside. The signs say no garbage to be placed outside the door and there were no receptacles. We placed it closer to the pier and it was take so I guess it was ok to do so. Other than that, the place was fantastic!

The communication between Anna and us upon arrival was seamless, and she welcomed us as our taxi arrived. I am not so easy to please, but based on our experience I would give VOV my highest recommendation.

First, it was a very lovely apartment and spacious apartment. My daughter and I enjoyed sitting outside the apartment with all of the locals at the restaurant next door, playing games and enjoying a drink and the sunset. It was very lively. We also enjoyed all of the everyday action that too place just outside our windows. My little girl loved sitting in the bedroom and saying Ciao to the gondolas as they passed by. We have stayed in many comparably nice apartments in France, Italy, and South American and most included a telephone with FREE unlimited calls to the U.S. That this apartment didn't even have a phone was a big (and expensive) problem for us. Also, as Venice is confusing, it would have been nice to have a personalized map showing the markets, etc. rather than just a list. Finally, Valentina was a wonderful babysitter for our daugh ter. She was kind, fun, and provided excellent care. That you have such a person working for you should be advertised as a plus for your company. It allowed me and my husband to enjoy Venice on our own, knowing that our child was in good hands.

An ancient canal-side palace within minutes of St. Mark’s Square. Hidden away on its landside within the secret courtyard ‘Corte Rubbi’, on the Castello/San Marco border, this once forgotten building has been magically transformed by restorers with vision and interior design savoir-faire. Standing at the gondola-busy T-junction of the San Zulian and Bareteri canals, and encapsulating 10 dazzling apartments of varying colourway and size, the newly launched Corte Rubbi is but a stroll to some of Venice’s most iconic attractions and countless beguiling vistas on which to feast your eyes! Easy to find (when you know the way!) from the shop-lined Campo San Bartolomeo and Salizada San Lio on one of Venice’s canal-encircled ‘islands within an island’, these imaginatively furnished apartments offer Wi-Fi and a communal laundry room and are spread across 4 floors with all upper floors reached by stairs. Highly contemporary in style, air-conditioned** throughout and ranging from a charming studio for 4 to a fabulous penthouse with rooftop terrace, Corte Rubbi’s 10 apartments sleep up to 42 guests if booked exclusively and include: Corte Rubbi 6 – on the 2nd Floor reached by stairs – sleeping 4 A peaceful and relaxing studio apartment looking onto the courtyard comprising: A charming main living / dining / sleeping area in warm and welcoming ivory and pink with wooden parquet flooring underfoot, wooden beamed ceiling overhead, a pair of queen size double beds and a dining area seating 4 A well-equipped kitchenette for light cooking reached by a few steps up from the main room A luxurious bathroom to the side with marble walls and chromotherapy shower Are you part of a larger group who’d like to stay close together but in separate apartments? We offer 9 other apartments within this palazzo: Corte Rubbi 1, Corte Rubbi 3, Corte Rubbi 5, Corte Rubbi 8, Corte Rubbi 9, Corte Rubbi 10, Corte Rubbi 11 and Corte Rubbi 5514 OUR COMMENT A peaceful and relaxing studio for 4, in a vibrant, central and endlessly fascinating part of town. A few steps away from the 18th-century church of Santa Maria Della Fava and close to a host of famous sights and attractions including the atmospheric Venetian time-capsule that is the Querini Stampalia, the fabulous Palazzo Grimani just off Campo Santa Maria Formosa, the Church of San Zaccaria with its crypt and wonderful Bellini altarpiece, and Vivaldi’s La Pietà on the sunny Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront… … A short stroll towards a very sedate pace of life lived out amongst the tranquil calles, canals and green spaces of Castello with its laid-back and very genuine neighbourhood vibe… … Or rise with the lark to embrace the atmosphere of St. Mark’s Square (‘the Piazza’) gloriously near-empty before its visitors arrive… or visit at night when the orchestras of Quadri and Florian play*, the bells of the Campanile (bell tower) toll, the marble of the Doge’s Palace glows, and the mosaics of the Basilica shimmer in the darkness… Close to a host of shops, restaurants and bars including the much-lauded Alle Testiere, the upmarket Bistrot de Venise and Alle Corone of the nearby Hotel Reali, the charming Osteria Al Portego (delicious cicheti!) and Osteria Ae Sconte, plus Ristorante Santa Maria Formosa with its tables on the campo. Also within easy reach of 4 well-stocked supermarkets – a Despar at Calle al Ponte de la Guerra, a COOP at Salizada San Lio, and a COOP and a Despar on the Riva del Carbon (near the Rialto Bridge), along with a ‘Vino Sfuso’ (wine on tap) shop on Calle del Mondo Novo and a greengrocer’s stand at Campo Santa Maria Formosa. Within a short stroll of the vaporetto (water bus) stop at Rialto for exploring the city, the ‘Traghetto’ gondola ferry carrying passengers across the Grand Canal between the Riva Del Carbon and San Silvestro in the San Polo district and the vaporetto (water bus) stop at San Zaccaria for trips around town, visits to the Lido beaches and to the Biennale Pavilions at Arsenale and Giardini. *Note that performances are dependent on weather and season **Please note that the operation of air conditioning and heating are subjected to the municipality regulation.
