Bright, elegant and exceptionally welcoming, Ca’ Del Monastero 8 is a charming one-bedroom apartment offering comfortable accommodation for up to four guests, together with access to a delightful shared internal courtyard.

Situated on the second floor of the residence and reached by stairs, the apartment enjoys a peaceful position overlooking the quiet Salizada and towards the historic grounds of the Natural History Museum, housed within the remarkable Fondaco dei Turchi.

Accessed through a separate entrance from the Salizada below, the apartment immediately conveys a sense of tranquillity and comfort. Soft neutral tones, elegant wall coverings and carefully coordinated furnishings create bright and inviting interiors throughout.
The welcoming living room is furnished with a comfortable sofa bed and armchair, providing an ideal space for relaxing after a day exploring Venice. Large windows allow natural light to fill the room while maintaining a calm and private atmosphere.

Ca’ Del Monastero 8 and Ca’ Del Monastero 5 occupy a separate section of the residence with an independent entrance from the Salizada, creating an intimate and private setting within the larger Ca’ Del Monastero complex.

When booked together, the two apartments offer an ideal solution for extended families, couples travelling together or groups of friends who wish to stay close to one another while maintaining the privacy and independence of separate accommodations. The shared courtyard provides a welcoming space for gathering and socialising, combining conviviality with the comfort of having one’s own private apartment.

The location is ideal for discovering Venice on foot. Venice Santa Lucia Railway Station and Piazzale Roma are within easy walking distance, while the vaporetto stops at Riva di Biasio and San Stae are just moments away, providing convenient access to all areas of the city.

One of Venice’s most charming squares, Campo San Giacomo dell’Orio, lies just around the corner. Beloved by locals, this picturesque square is surrounded by cafés, small shops and a well-stocked supermarket, offering visitors a genuine glimpse into everyday Venetian life.
Nearby you will find a wide selection of excellent restaurants and traditional bacari, including All’Anfora, La Zucca, Il Refolo, Al Prosecco and Antica Besseta.

The apartment is also conveniently located for visiting Ca’ Pesaro, Palazzo Mocenigo, the Fondazione Prada at Ca’ Corner della Regina, the Basilica dei Frari, the Scuola Grande di San Rocco, Campo San Polo and the vibrant Rialto district with its famous market and culinary delights.

***Please note that the operation of air-conditioning and heating is subject to local municipal regulations. Generally, heating is available from mid-October to mid-April, while air-conditioning operates from mid-April to mid-October. Please contact us for further information.

For arrivals between 8:00 p.m. and midnight, a late arrival fee of €50 applies, payable in cash upon arrival.
For arrivals between midnight and 1:00 a.m., the late arrival fee is €100.
For arrivals after 1:00 a.m., we reserve the right to accept the check-in subject to an additional fee based on the arrival time.

Beds will be prepared according to the standard configuration shown in the photographs. Any alternative bed arrangements, where available, must be requested at least 7 days prior to arrival.

Situated on a peaceful Dorsoduro calle leading to the narrow Rio de Toresele canal where once there stood a squero (boatyard) many, many moons ago, each charming Lo Squero apartment promises a perfect base in Venice for couples, solo travellers and groups of up to 9 when booked as a whole.

‘Hidden in plain sight’ just moments from Campo San Vio**, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the dazzling Zattere promenade, and boasting Wi-Fi connection and a washing machine in each, the fully air-conditioned apartments are spread over 3 floors of the property (one per level) and include:

A bijou and very pretty ‘Positano-meets-Venezia–style’ open-plan main living room looking onto the courtyard and comprising a sitting area with a single sofa bed and a dining area/well-equipped kitchen complete with full oven and table for 4

A bright and beautiful master bedroom lovingly presented in seaside colours, with a double bed, an ancient fireplace (no longer in use) plus walls attractively adorned with a collection of seashells and wood-carvings

OUR COMMENT

A Venetian casetta that’s sure to make you smile, just tucked away on Dorsoduro’s ‘Museum Mile’…

A short amble to the iconic Church of the Salute, the Accademia Galleries and Bridge (and the VOV office!), the Palazzo Cini Gallery, plus the Punta Della Dogana Center of Contemporary Art, and close to a variety of fine eating places and bars including Ai Gondolieri and Ristorante Riviera for fine dining, and Corner Pub, Osteria Al Squero and Cantinone Gia Schiavi for cicheti and spritz.

An easy waterside stroll to 2 Conad supermarkets – one at the western end of the Zattere and a smaller one closer to home at Zattere Spirito Santo – and to 4 vaporetto (water bus) stops – Zattere Spirito Santo, Zattere, Salute and Accademia – for travel around the city (note that St. Mark’s Square can be reached by vaporetto from Salute in under 5 minutes on Line 1!)

Also close to the ‘traghetto’ at Calle Lanza/Calle del Traghetto S. Gregorio which, during operating hours, ferries passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal to the district of San Marco, and within easy reach of the Alilaguna boat stop connecting the Zattere to Venice's Marco Polo Airport.

For arrivals between 8.00 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for "late arrival" of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. We organize arrivals between midnight and one o'clock with an additional cost of Euro 100, after this time we reserve the right to accept the customer always with a supplement to be quantified according to the time of arrival.

Beds will be arranged as either doubles or twins as shown in the photos. The possibility of turning a double bed into twins or vice versa can be found in the description and must be requested at least 7 days before arrival.
