Un antico palazzo lungo canale a pochi minuti da Piazza San Marco.
Nascosto sul lato terra all’interno della Corte Rubbi, lungo il confine tra i sestieri di San Marco e Castello, questo edificio un tempo dimenticato è stato magicamente trasformato da abili restauratori e interior designers.
Situato all’incrocio tra San Zulian e il canale dei Bareteri, comprensivo di 10 splendidi appartamenti di varie sfumature di colore e misure, la recentemente inaugurata Corte Rubbi è situata a soli pochi passi da gran parte delle attrazioni della città e dai seducenti panorami che delizieranno i vostri occhi!
Facile da trovare (una volta che si conosce la strada!), vicino a Campo San Bartolomeo con i suoi negozi e alla Salizada San Lio, su un isolotto circondato di canali all’interno di un’altra isola, questi appartamenti arredati con gusto e ingegno, offrono WiFi e una stanza adibita a lavanderia in comune, e si posizionano su 4 livelli, con i piani superiori raggiungibili con le scale.

Un caratteristico e confortevole appartamento vista canale in una zona vivace, centrale e dal fascino senza tempo.
A pochi passi dalla chiesa del XVIII secolo di Santa Maria della Fava e vicino a molti siti e attrazioni famosi, come l’incredibile Querini Stampalia, il favoloso Palazzo Grimani, poco distante da Campo S.M.Formosa, la Chiesa di San Zaccaria con la sua cripta e il magnifico altare Bellini, La Pietà di Vivaldi lungo la soleggiata Riva degli Schiavoni…
…Con una breve passeggiata, scoprirete il ritmo di vita tranquillo delle calli, dei canali e delle aree verdi di Castello, con la sua atmosfera genuina e rilassata di quartiere
… oppure potrete svegliarvi all’alba per godere dell’atmosfera gloriosa di una Piazza San Marco semi deserta, prima che i visitatori si sveglino e arrivino… o visitarla di sera, quando suona l’orchestra del Florian, suonano le campane, i marmi del Palazzo Ducale risplendono e i mosaici della Basilica scintillano nel buio…
Vicino ad una serie di negozi, bar e ristoranti, come il rinomato Alle Testiere, l’elegante Bistrot de Venise, Alle Corone del vicino Hotel Reali, l’incantevole Osteria Al Portego (che ha cicheti deliziosi!) e l’Osteria Ae Sconte, oltre al Ristorante Santa Maria Formosa, con i tavoli all’aperto sul campo.
È inoltre vicino a 4 supermercati ben riforniti – una Despar dopo il Ponte della Guerra, una COOP in Salizada San Lio, un’altra Despar in Riva del Carbon (vicino al Ponte di Rialto), è vicino anche a ‘VinoSfuso’, piccola bottega situata in Calle del Mondo Novo e al fruttivendolo in Campo Santa Maria Formosa.
A pochi passi dalla fermata del vaporetto di Rialto per esplorare la città, dalla gondola ‘traghetto’ che trasporta i passeggeri attraverso il Canal Grande da Riva del Carbon a San Silvestro nel sestiere di San Polo e dalla fermata del vaporetto di San Zaccaria, per gite in città, raggiungere la spiaggia del Lido e/o i padiglioni della Biennale ai Giardini e all’Arsenale.

Numerous requests from ticket delivery to procuring a porter to assist with our luggage were all handled quickly and efficiently. It was an excellent choice.

I think it’s good to put some entrance mat (door mat) on the ground floor entrance. As when it gets wet in Venice and you come back with wet umbrellas and wet shoes, the marble stairs can get slippery

For a short stay in venice we wanted to be conveniently located to Rialto Bridge, San Marco Square, Grand Canal without being amongst the throngs of tourists at the height of the season (end of August). The building is within a 5 minute walk from these major sites. Also, given the long 5 flights of stairs to the apartment, guests will need to conserve their energy upon their arrival off the water taxi. The accomodations were clean. In particular the bathroom were very modern and clean. I liked also having access to a laundry room which the building has. The wifi worked well and it was great that the outlets in the bedroom were equipped with USB chanrges for iPhones devices. The bathroom products were also nice!

The apartment is an amazing location that overlooks one of Venices most photographed bridges. The rooms are tastefully furnished with high end modern finishes. The two bedrooms are identical and the two bathrooms are very clean and modern. The kitchen was stocked and you can sit on the couch with a glass of wine and look down at the bridges below. The on-site laundry is great with separate washer and dryer for those with longer stays. This is the place we will stay every time we visit Venice!

There is no elevator, if you are on floor 4-5, you will be climbing a lot of well lit stairs over the trip. Don’t sleep with the windows open at night, even in January, there are night time mosquitoes that will get in. This is an old, and beautiful Venetian building, you may hear the bumps and murmurs of other guests, but not excessively so. |

We confirmed with Views on Venice when they booked our private water taxi to the train station that the taxi would take credit card. Views on Venice said that their taxi service would accept credit card. When we arrived at the train station, the tvedi di più
We confirmed with Views on Venice when they booked our private water taxi to the train station that the taxi would take credit card. Views on Venice said that their taxi service would accept credit card. When we arrived at the train station, the taxi driver refused a credit card and we had to run inside to get cash because we did not have enough! It would have been better for VoV to tell us to have enough cash just in case. But this was a small matter. We loved the rental, we loved Views on Venice, we loved Venice and hope to be back one day. It was a magical visit.

A characterful and warmly welcoming sitting / TV room in cool ‘salvia’ sage green, the colour contrasting beautifully with the wooden timbers overhead, traditional terrazzo flooring underfoot, and a deep crimson-velvet ivory-piped sofa set before a mixed media on canvas artwork by Elia Valentini (student at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia) entitled ‘Grande Blu 1, 2025’ and purchased at the recent charity auction for Avapo Venezia
A spacious free-flowing open-plan dining room / kitchen space in deep pinky-red terracotta overlooking the west-facing Campo Incurabili to the fore, with beams overhead, fabulous wooden herringbone parquet flooring underfoot, a well-equipped contemporary kitchen in white (with washing machine / dryer) where you can crack open the Prosecco or rustle up a storm (if cooking with the super-fresh local ingredients is your bag!), plus a dining suite hosting 6 guests to the side and just the spot for some convivial downtime where you can all share stories of your Venetian adventures!
A restful principal double bedroom to the rear of the apartment dressed in sunny yellow and peacock blues and greens, and furnished with a beautifully upholstered double bed with can be split into twins upon request
An equally tranquil 2nd double bedroom to the side of the apartment, also in sunny yellow and with claret-velvet upholstered twin beds which can be made into a double upon request
And completing the accommodation on the opposite side of the apartment....

**Note that the Accademia Galleries close to apartment Operetta will be hosting Marina Abramović’s historic solo exhibition ‘Transforming Energy’ (6 May 2026 – 19 October 2026) during the Venice 2026 Art Biennale. She will be the first living woman artist to be honoured with a major solo exhibition at the Accademia in its 275-year history
OUR COMMENT
A charming apartment championing pared-down Venetian appeal in one of our absolute favourite parts of town!
A short stroll to Campo San Vio on the Grand Canal and the Palazzo Cini Gallery to the west, the Church of the Salute and the Punta Della Dogana Center of Contemporary Art to the east, and close to a great choice of eating places and bars including Ai Gondolieri, Lineadombra and Ristorante Riviera for fine dining, and the popular Osteria Al Squero, Corner Pub and Cantinone Gia Schiavi for spritz and cicheti.
An easy walk to 4 vaporetto (water bus) stops – Zattere Spirito Santo, Zattere, Salute and Accademia for easy travel around the city (note that St. Mark’s Square can be reached by vaporetto from Salute in under 5 minutes on Line 1!), to 2 Conad supermarkets – one moments away just behind the Zattere Spirito Santo vaporetto stop and the other at the western end of the Zattere – and to the traghetto at Calle Lanza / Calle del Traghetto San Gregorio which, during operating hours, ferries passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal to the traghetto stop beside the Gritti Palace in the district of San Marco.
Also within easy reach of the Alilaguna boat stop connecting the Zattere to Venice's Marco Polo Airport.
Please note that the operation of air-conditioning and heating are subject to municipality regulation. In general, heating is available from mid-October to mid-April, while air-conditioning is available from mid-April to mid-October. Please contact us for further information.
For arrivals between 8 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for "late arrival" of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. We organise arrivals between midnight and 1 a.m. with an additional cost of Euro 100, after this time we reserve the right to accept the customer always with a supplement to be quantified according to the time of arrival.

Mid-century modern in mood and giving onto the Rio Terà dei Saloni – a wonderfully evocative and peaceful tree-lined avenue linking the breathtaking Zattere waterfront to the glittering Grand Canal – apartment Ca’ Delle Vele sleeps 4 guests in a characterful setting of rough-hewn timbers, oak flooring and velvety Marmorino walls.
West facing and bright – particularly in the afternoon and early evening – and providing comfort and style in abundance and equal measure, this 1st floor apartment offers air-conditioning** and Wi-Fi plus a relaxed and homely ambience promising maximum holiday pleasure!
Situated in an area historically famous for the salt warehouses once found here and within a stone’s throw of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, the Fondazione Emilio e Annabianca Vedova, the Punta Della Dogana Center of Contemporary Art and the ‘traghetto’ gondola ferry crossing the Grand Canal to the San Marco sestiere, Ca’ Delle Vele’s accommodation comprises:
A communal entrance on the ground floor with stairs rising to the
1st Floor – private door into:
• A cosy, welcoming and softly lit sitting room picked out in tasteful teal-blues and furnished with a large L-shaped sofa set beneath a wall print of the ‘Chiesa della Salute Venezia’ by Gaspare Vanvitelli (1653–1736) and a splendidly detailed tapestry giving warmth to the room, and featuring 3 tall French windows opening onto a long balcony with window boxes overlooking the delightfully tranquil Rio Terà dei Saloni* and the little 15th-century Gothic palazzo opposite, with the Zattere waterfront and the Giudecca Canal just visible at its southern end!
• A modern, streamlined and well-equipped kitchen / dining room to the side with a dining suite seating 6
• 2 attractively presented double bedrooms of approximately similar size and style – one in a cool eau-de-nil to the front and the other in a warm buttery yellow to the rear and¬ both with built-in wardrobes and double beds which can be made into singles upon request
And completing Ca’ Delle Vele’s well-planned accommodation:
• 2 separate bathrooms with contemporary-style fittings – one with a bathtub and hand-held shower and the other with a shower

OUR COMMENT
A charming place to call home in an idyllic location where time seems to stand still, generation after generation…
A very short stroll via the wide Rio Terà dei Catecumeni to the magnificent votive Church of Santa Maria Della Salute and its breathtaking views over to the Campanile at San Marco… and peacefully positioned (except during the ‘Festa Della Salute’ which takes place on 21 November each year *** – please see below!)
Within steps of the popular little coffee shop / takeaway known as 60/40 – perfect for a morning cappuccino and pastry, a freshly squeezed juice, filled roll or a refreshing gelato or 3! (NB: only a small handful of bar stools available) – and within a short walk of the Accademia Galleries and Bridge (and the VOV office!), the Palazzo Cini Gallery and a variety of fine eating places and bars including Linea D’Ombra, Ai Gondolieri and Ristorante Riviera for fine dining and Corner Pub, Osteria Al Squero and Cantinone Gia Schiavi for panini / cicheti and spritz.
A scenic waterside stroll to the Conad supermarket at the western end of the Zattere and within easy reach of 4 vaporetto (water bus) stops – Zattere Spirito Santo, Zattere, Salute and Accademia – for travel around the city (note that St. Mark’s Square can be reached by vaporetto from Salute in under 5 minutes on Line 1!)
Also moments to the ‘traghetto’ at Calle Lanza / Calle del Traghetto S. Gregorio which, during operating hours, ferries passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal to the stand beside the Gritti Palace Hotel in the district of San Marco, and within easy reach of the Alilaguna boat stop connecting the Zattere to Venice's Marco Polo Airport.
*** One of the most moving and best loved of all Venetian events. Every year on the 21 November, Venetians make a pilgrimage to the plague church of Santa Maria Della Salute (St. Mary of Health) to pray to the Virgin Mary and to light candles, while gondoliers visit bringing their oars to be blessed. A pontoon bridge is built across the Grand Canal from Santa Maria Del Giglio over to the Salute and the huge doors of the church are opened to the city and its visitors, while the area close to Salute is busy with stalls selling candles, balloons and all manner of sweet temptations!
