Affacciato sulle acque verde-giada del Canal Grande, lungo il meraviglioso tratto compreso tra il Museo Ca’ Rezzonico, dedicato al Settecento veneziano, e le Gallerie / Ponte dell’Accademia, questo elegante appartamento vi attende all’interno della caratteristica Palazzina Marioni*, un raffinato palazzo ottocentesco dalle note terracotta progettato dall’architetto Lodovico Cadorin, restauratore e decoratore di alcuni ambienti dello storico Caffè Florian in Piazza San Marco.

Situato al secondo piano del palazzo, nel cuore di Dorsoduro, l’appartamento può ospitare fino a 7 persone in un’eleganza sobria e patrizia.

Recentemente ristrutturato in ogni dettaglio e caratterizzato da un design creativo e finiture artigianali su misura, l’appartamento, completamente climatizzato, si estende per tutta la profondità del palazzo e offre ogni comfort moderno.

È possibile arrivare direttamente in taxi acqueo privato all’ingresso sull’acqua del palazzo e lasciarsi avvolgere subito dal fascino aristocratico veneziano.

Con quattro raffinate camere matrimoniali, Ca’ Mainella offre un’esperienza di soggiorno veneziano autentica, spaziosa e flessibile.

Il soggiorno principale, luminoso e arioso, è decorato in un delicato verde salvia con una parete artistica a tema tropicale e pavimento in tipico terrazzo veneziano lucidato. Un moderno lampadario in vetro di Murano illumina due comodi divani in velluto color mora, mentre le finestre ad arco si aprono su una vista mozzafiato del Canal Grande.

Adiacente al soggiorno si trova la zona pranzo e cucina, elegante e lineare, decorata con un murale nei toni seppia e un camino ornamentale. Perfettamente attrezzata per una cucina leggera, è arredata con un tavolo da pranzo ideale per iniziare la giornata ammirando il Canal Grande che si anima al mattino, o per rilassarsi alla fine di una giornata intensa.

Attraverso un breve corridoio interno si raggiunge una prima camera matrimoniale tranquilla, decorata con tonalità neutre e pavimento in terrazzo veneziano, dotata di letto matrimoniale (trasformabile in due letti singoli su richiesta) e di un bagno separato splendidamente rifinito con doccia.

A lato, una seconda camera matrimoniale, altrettanto rilassante e minimalista, arredata con un letto alla francese, perfetta per una persona o una coppia.

Sul retro dell’appartamento si trovano la terza camera matrimoniale, affacciata sul giardino privato del palazzo***, con parete floreale decorativa e letto in stile rococò (anch’esso trasformabile in due singoli su richiesta), e la quarta camera matrimoniale, davvero particolare, anch’essa con vista sul giardino.

Quest’ultima, luminosa e ariosa, presenta un caldo pavimento in parquet, un letto matrimoniale e una zona cucina discreta con tavolo pieghevole, perfettamente integrata per ottimizzare gli spazi – un piccolo capolavoro di funzionalità e design.

A completare l’appartamento, un secondo bagno con mosaico a tema “tapestry” e vasca da bagno con doccia.

Il nostro commento

Un magnifico appartamento sul Canal Grande che combina lusso discreto, posizione eccezionale e viste spettacolari, che si estendono dal Museo Palazzo Grassi a sinistra fino al Ponte dell’Accademia a destra, con il palazzo Cerchieri (sede di VOV / Dimora Italia) proprio accanto.

A pochi passi si trova una splendida selezione di piccoli negozi, bar e ristoranti tipici di Dorsoduro, tra cui Osteria Enoteca Ai Artisti, Ristorante Bakaro, Oniga, Osteria Alla Bifora, Ca’ Del Vento e Osteria Ai Pugni, senza dimenticare il celebre Cantinone Gia Schiavi – Al Bottegon, rinomato per i suoi cicheti, e il Bar Alla Toletta, famoso per i tramezzini più gustosi della città.

A pochi minuti a piedi si raggiungono la pittoresca “barca della frutta e verdura” ormeggiata al Campo San Barnaba, il supermercato Conad a due piani in Campo Santa Margherita per ogni necessità, e la Scuola di Cucina “A Tavola” di VOV / Dimora Italia, che offre lezioni di cucina, degustazioni di vini e uno spazio per eventi privati sul grazioso Rio Della Romite – siamo felici di fornire ulteriori dettagli su richiesta.

Una breve passeggiata conduce alla splendida Riva delle Zattere, con la sua vista spettacolare sul Canale della Giudecca, e allo Squero San Trovaso, fondato nel XVII secolo, il più antico dei pochi squeri ancora attivi a Venezia, dove abili artigiani locali continuano a costruire e restaurare gondole a mano secondo le tecniche tradizionali.

L’appartamento è comodamente vicino a due fermate del vaporetto, Accademia e Ca’ Rezzonico, per spostarsi agevolmente in tutta la città.

Per arrivi tra le 20:00 e mezzanotte è previsto un supplemento di €50 da pagare in contanti all’arrivo. Per arrivi tra mezzanotte e l’una, il supplemento è di €100. Dopo l’una di notte, l’accoglienza è soggetta a disponibilità e a un supplemento da concordare in base all’orario di arrivo.

Peacefully positioned at the entrance to the tucked-away ‘Court of the Candles’ and named in remembrance of the candle-making artisan workshop that is thought to have existed in this authentic and highly evocative part of Cannaregio way back in the 15th/16th centuries, this ultra-spacious and totally ravishing top-of-the-house apartment hosts 7 guests in immaculate and thoughtfully reimagined surroundings.

...only steps away from the tranquil and timeless Rio de Santa Caterina canal, the long and scenic Fondamente Nove waterfront (where you can board the vaporetto (water bus) to Murano, Burano, Torcello, San Michele, the Biennale Pavilions at Giardini and Arsenale as well as the beaches of the Lido), not forgetting the spectacular Baroque Church of the Gesuiti* with its towering snow-white façade and statues of the apostles (indeed they’re one of the first sights to greet you as you sweep into Venice by private water taxi!)...

An air-conditioned 2-floor duplex covering the building’s entire 3rd and 4th floors and reached via communal stairs to the 3rd floor followed by internal staircase to the 4th, the apartment boasts Wi-Fi and all the comforts of a contemporary home, and includes (starting at the top and working our way down):

Corte delle Candele’s private entrance leading into its hallway where an open-tread wooden staircase rises directly up and into the impressive, multi-functional, open-plan, loft-style sitting / kitchen-dining area with tall windows on 3 sides and a spectacular exposed-brick-and-timber ceiling giving the room incredible character and warmth despite its immense proportions and gloriously ‘open-to-the-skies’ aspect

There’s a compact yet well-equipped kitchen with everything required to cook up a Venetian feast (if you could only tear yourself away from the view of the onion-domed campanile of Santi Apostoli to the side – it’s a tough choice!), while a modern dining suite and informal sitting area with sofa just beyond gives everyone their own space to relax and unwind, and the contemporary stove (not in use) provides a further focal point as it reaches skywards towards the roofline

A pristine guest bathroom with laundry area to the fore houses a handy washing machine and separate tumble dryer allowing you to be ‘onward travel ready’ if visiting Venice as part of an extended tour, while...

A striking 3D-printed classical-style sculpture ‘Man on a Cube’ – inspired by a painting by Roberto Ferri and created by the talented 3D-artist apartment owners – ushers you towards Corte delle Candele’s sunlit 2nd sitting / tv room, home to a further sculpture by the talented brothers, polished wooden flooring, and a large L-shaped sofa where one can chill and hang out while taking in the view of St. Mark’s Campanile – that iconic symbol of La Serenissima – standing proudly in the distance above the topsy-turvy Venetian skyline...

Returning once again to the internal staircase we descend to the sleeping accommodation on the 3rd floor below, where guests can retire to one of the apartment’s 4 gorgeous double bedrooms of roughly equal size, each beautifully presented in restful colours with fine textiles and double beds...

OUR COMMENT

A superb ‘upside-down’ duplex of extraordinary character and style and a great choice for larger parties set away from the madding crowds....

… within a dreamy, much-loved district oozing traditional old-world charm and characterised by peaceful residential areas, wide and sunny canal-side ‘fondamente’ – including the Fondamenta de la Misericordia and de la Sensa – plus a host of historic landmarks including the spectacular fairy-tale Ca’ d’Oro, the ancient Jewish Ghetto and, just around the corner from Corte delle Candele, the little gem known as the Oratorio dei Crociferi, home to a wonderful cycle of paintings by Jacopo Palma il Giovane and founded in the 12th century by the religious order of the Crociferi as a hostel and resting place for pilgrims and crusaders.

Within a stone’s throw of a fabulous selection of local restaurants, osterie and bacari including the tricky-to-find and very charming Alla Frasca with its parasol / awning-topped terrace, the locals’ favourite Alla Vedova (hands down the best polpette in town!), the traditional Bepi Antico 54 da Loris, Ristorante Al Vecia Cavana (fine dining with resident pianist), Osteria Al Tajer, the laid-back Estate ai Crociferi (for a spritz in the cloistered courtyard of a former monastery!) plus the highly regarded Algiubagio fringing the Fondamente Nove – Venice’s northern waterfront overlooking the waters of the northern lagoon towards the distant snow-topped peaks of the Dolomite mountains.

Within an easy stroll of some of Venice’s most memorable churches including the dainty jewel-box Santa Maria dei Miracoli and Madonna dell’ Orto – final resting place of the painter Tintoretto who lived nearby.

Close to the Strada Nova where you find stores galore to satisfy all your shopping needs! plus a well-stocked Coop Supermarket at San Felice and another at the Giorgione cinema complex near Campo Santi Apostoli.

Convenient for 2 vaporetto stops for hassle-free travel around town – Ca’ d’Oro on the Grand Canal and Fondamente Nove just moments away.

Also, within a stroll of the traghetto at Campo Santa Sofia, which during operating times, ferries passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal to the Rialto Market (food-shopping heaven!) in the district of San Polo.

With no bridges to cross to the Alilaguna boat stop connecting the "Fondamente Nove" to Venice’s Marco Polo Airport.

For arrivals between 8.00 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for "late arrival" of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. We organise arrivals between midnight and one o'clock with an additional cost of Euro 100, after this time we reserve the right to accept the customer always with a supplement to be quantified according to the time of arrival.
