Sensationally situated on the gently tilting raised ground floor of the hallowed 15th-century Palazzo Mocenigo 'Ca' Vecchia' on the Grand Canal – the oldest palazzo within the legendary family of ancient Venetian palaces along this stretch of the water collectively known as 'Palazzo Mocenigo' – and rubbing shoulders with its next door neighbour, the one-time Venetian bolthole of the charismatic (and scandalous!) 18th/19th-century British romantic poet Lord Byron (and his menagerie of exotic animals!)... experience the full sensuality of Venice and the heavenly pleasures she offers from one of her most distinguished, romantic and hauntingly atmospheric addresses.

A dream Grand Canal pied-à-terre for two promising the full Venetian experience within the august surroundings of one of Venice’s most notable palazzos!
Sharing its distinctly upmarket neighbourhood with some of the city’s most coveted residences and ideally placed for the first time or regular visitor to Venice who appreciates peaceful surroundings yet who’d like to stay close to many of her star attractions (including those at St. Mark’s Square and Rialto just a short walk away!)
Within a stone’s throw of the Accademia Bridge crossing the Grand Canal over to the district of Dorsoduro (check out the newly opened and beautifully positioned Moro Café and Restaurant at Palazzo Franchetti right beside it!) and within moments of traditional bars and osterie, a wine shop, a local grocery/delicatessen and a very well-stocked Despar supermarket (and a cinema!) just a little further on.
Antique shops, small galleries and little boutiques are right on your doorstep including Palwer Jewellery, Artion Galleries, Atelier Elizabetta Zanutto, interior designer Chiarastella Cattana – a discreetly sophisticated showroom of fine and distinctively woven textiles and furnishings – and, for scent-lovers, the Venice outlet of the famous Florentine ‘Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella’ (one of the oldest pharmacies in the world and one time fragrance maker to Catherine de’ Medici).
Also close to two vaporetto (water bus) stops – San Samuele (Line 2) and Sant’ Angelo (Line 1) – for foot-friendly exploration of the city, and moments to the local traghetto at Garzoni which, during operating times, ferries passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal to San Toma in the district of San Polo... watch it crossing from your windows!
For arrivals between 8.00 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for ‘late arrival’ of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. We organise arrivals between midnight and one o'clock with an additional cost of Euro 100, after this time we reserve the right to accept the customer always with a supplement to be quantified according to the time of arrival.

Un favoloso appartamento che offre una delle più spettacolari viste panoramiche di tutta Venezia. Situato sull'isola pacifica e rilassata della Giudecca (dove anche Sir Elton John ha una casa!) e proprio di fronte al Canale della Giudecca nel sestiere di Dorsoduro, questo alloggio elegante e pieno di sole si trova al terzo ed ultimo piano e combina confort e stile, in una posizione invidiabile, proprio accanto alla chiesa palladiana del Redentore. E’ costituito da un soggiorno arredato con gusto e una zona pranzo con finestre a tutta altezza affacciate direttamente sul terrazzo (che corre per tutta la lunghezza della casa ed è attrezzato per mangiare 'al fresco'), una camera matrimoniale, una cucina perfettamente attrezzata e un bagno con vasca da bagno e doccia.
Una scala conduce alla straordinaria 'altana' in legno (terrazza sul tetto) che, insieme alla terrazza al piano inferiore, offre una vista ininterrotta a volo d'uccello sopra il Canale della Giudecca verso San Marco, Dorsoduro e le cupole di Santa Maria Della Salute - perfetta per prendere il sole, rilassarsi con un bicchiere e un libro o semplicemente godere del panorama mentre le barche passano. Ed anche se sei perdonato per aver voluto trascorrere tutta la vacanza in uno stato di completo relax nell’appartamento, è bello sapere che sei solo a tre minuti di barca da Dorsoduro e cinque da San Marco per provare il meglio della cultura e dello 'shopping' che Venezia ha da offrire - il meglio di due mondi! Una volta nota per i suoi palazzi con giardini e ora per la sua fiorente comunità artistica e l’autentico sentirsi 'veneziano', la Giudecca vanta una serie di ristoranti che vanno dalla splendida terrazza coperta di 'Harry Dolci' ai sofisticati ristoranti dell'Hotel Cipriani, a quelli che offrono pranzi semplici e modesti a prezzi adeguati.
O se preferite cenare a casa, allora è facile fare provviste di generi alimentari in uno dei piccoli negozi della Giudecca, il locale supermercato COOP (a pochi passi di distanza nei pressi della fermata del vaporetto 'Palanca') o il Prix vicino al Redentore ancora più vicino a casa.

Un appartamento all'ultimo piano moderno e romantico in una posizione privilegiata sulla Giudecca con vista panoramica sulla città di Venezia. Per ottenere il massimo dal vostro soggiorno a Venezia, non dimenticate di consultare la nostra pagina ‘Venezia’ per la nostra personale guida locale alle cose da fare, luoghi da vedere, dove fare acquisti e molto altro ancora!
Per gli arrivi tra le ore 20 e mezzanotte è previsto un costo aggiuntivo per “arrivo tardivo” di euro 50, da pagare in contanti al momento dell'arrivo. Organizziamo arrivi tra mezzanotte e l’una con un costo aggiuntivo di euro 100, oltre tale orario Views on Venice si riserva la facoltà di accettare il cliente sempre con un supplemento da quantificare in base all’orario di arrivo.

Un appartamento 'mansardato' all’ultimo piano in stile loft, attraente e spazioso con travi a vista e terrazza ad altana nella zona esclusiva di San Samuele, conosciuta per le sue gallerie e negozi di antiquariato. Appena fuori da Campo Santo Stefano, a pochi passi da Palazzo Grassi., museo di arte contemporanea e accanto a 'Casa Veronese', un tempo dimora del famoso pittore cinquecentesco del Rinascimento italiano Paolo Veronese (creatore dei dipinti 'Nozze di Cana' e 'Cena in casa di Levi ' che oggi sono appesi presso l'Accademia di Belle Arti proprio di fronte al vicino Ponte dell'Accademia).
L'ingresso e la piccola scala interna all'appartamento conducono ad un luminoso e ampio soggiorno con diverse finestre che si affacciano direttamente sulla gradevole Salizada San Samuele. Una piccola ma molto piacevole 'altana' , con tavolo e sedie si trova appena fuori dalla sala principale, ideale per fare colazione la mattina o per rilassarsi al sole dopo una giornata intensa. L'angolo cottura è perfettamente attrezzato e la camera da letto matrimoniale sul retro della casa presenta grandi travi a vista (e soffitto piuttosto basso, si prega di tenere presente che, di conseguenza, il letto matrimoniale è in posizione molto bassa rispetto al pavimento). Il bagno ha una vasca da bagno e l'intero appartamento dispone di un ampi armadi e spazio abbondante per 'sgranchirsi le gambe. Immergersi nella vita veneziana non potrebbe essere più facile e più comodo con un’ampia scelta di osterie, caffè all'aperto, un negozio di generi alimentari/gastronomia ed enoteca a portata di mano.
Quando poi vorrete avventurarvi ad esplorare o rivisitare le innumerevoli seduzioni della città, troverete due fermate di vaporetto a pochi minuti insieme a due 'Traghetti', che, negli orari di servizio (si prega di controllare prima di effettuare il viaggio) traghettano passeggeri in gondola sul Canal Grande, uno tra Calle Del Tragheto (vicino a Sant 'Angelo) e San Toma nel quartiere di San Polo e l'altro tra San Samuele e Ca' Rezzonico e il suo museo di arte del XVIII secolo a Dorsoduro.
IL NOSTRO COMMENTO
Un alloggio molto confortevole in una posizione meravigliosa e perfetta per una visita in qualsiasi momento dell'anno, accogliente e caratteristico in inverno, fresco e ventilato in estate quando la sua preziosa terrazza ad altana gli dà un punteggio supplementare.
A pochi passi dalla galleria dell'interior designer Chiarastella Cattana con eleganti e sofisticati tessuti e arredi e, per gli amanti del profumo, l'outlet veneziano della famosa 'Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella' di Firenze - una delle più antiche farmacie del mondo che all’epoca creava le fragranze di Caterina de' Medici.
Per gli arrivi tra le ore 20 e mezzanotte è previsto un costo aggiuntivo per “arrivo tardivo” di euro 50, da pagare in contanti al momento dell'arrivo.
